I spent a couple of hours to figure out why my refrigerator stopped working, I google for some answers but no luck so started calling repair shops. Over 10 calls with negative answers unpleasant customer service I decided to call Diamond-head electric company and Lady name Christine answered and ask me what was my concern so I did explain to her. She gave me a few suggestions. I tried what she said, and the problem was solved!. Over 15 minutes of conversation with her she was very patient and Great customer service. I highly recommend it!! We have used Diamond Head Electric for years now. We started with a condo that we were living in which had water damage from an apartment above. The electricity was not working in the kitchen due to the water damage. Ben Thomas was able to get the kitchen back in order by (among other things) reversing some plug that no one else had been able to fix. Now that we are living in a house, we have used him a couple of times. He has always provided excellent service and has always gone above and beyond what was needed. He has provided us with the name of an excellent handy man who helped us with other problems we had. Christine and Carly have been excellent administrators who always have kept us informed of dates, times, and other information. It is comforting to have an excellent electrician to rely on!

Hired them to rewire my entire home. Much to my surprise they kept increasing the costs from their initial price. They refused to give me a copy of the permit they supposedly pulled. Be very careful if you chose to use them I would never hire them again. There are less expensive companies to choose from. In fact, my contractor no longer works with them as well.

I'm going to make this short, so read between the lines. Lady who took our call was smart and polite (unlike the first company we contacted and then we called DH). She called us back about an hour later to say one of their Mobile Units had just finished a job and was in the area. He came, Immediately Diagnosed, had the materials on hand to return our house to working order, and was quick - polite - professional - !!! & clean .!!! Also, get this; they close at 4:30 pm. The guy knew it would take a few hours to restore our power, and he started anyway. He could have said I'll be by tomorrow. In less than 6 hours from when the box blew, we had our power, cable, and internet. This guy started in the late afternoon and stayed till finished. The only beef I have is the labor cost, wow am I happy I had some money that day! But as Local 745, I understand why they charge $150 an Hour.

Ben Thomas and his crew, John, Paul & Cody did a terrific job from start to finish. They were extremely professional and efficient and accommodated our wishes while providing expertise on electrical safety and regulations. They even helped us with extra job elements on-site (that we had not even thought of but sure appreciate having now) and were able to quickly provide cost estimates that were fair and accurate.
I read the negative review from a year ago and can tell you we did not experience any bad service at all. Jeneen who helped to coordinate the work was very responsive, efficient and helpful. All DHE staff have been nothing but a joy to work with, so personable and respectful and we would use them again.
We were referred to DHE from people we know and trust and would not hesitate to recommend them to others!

The electricians at Diamond Head Electric helped me right away, were courteous, and fixed my electrical outlet for my washer/dryer right away! They went above and beyond. We've used them for multiple jobs since. They are reliable and effective. Thank goodness for Diamond Head Electric!

We paid for an onsite assessment to get a quote for electrical work in our kitchen. After providing detailed documentation of the work to be done, and received what we thought would be a slightly high but still fair amount and agreed to start work. Work was to take 2 days. At the end of day 1, nothing of significance had been completed, and when questioned we were told that progress was being made and asked to pay for the day's work (without receiving a statement or notification of charges). No invoices were shown until the end of the 2nd day and we were not asked to approve charges beyond the initial estimate. At that point only about 10% of the work was complete and the amount invoiced far exceeded the estimate. As we had no funds readily available to continue work to completion, we were given a flat quote for installing lights and putting things back to how they were (rewiring outlets/switches that had been dismantled). With no other option and the safety of our children in mind, we agreed.

The lights were not all installed so after 3 days of work and spending upwards of $7500, $2000 of which was NOT authorized, we have 2 outlets (one was an existing outlet that was moved; the other was new and one we did not request) and 2 overhead lights. They left us over a long weekend with no communication regarding finishing the lighting install- they simply packed their bags and left.

The company is now telling us we did not receive an estimate despite paying for one and refuses to refund our money for work not performed. We have been taken advantage of and been charged exorbitant rates for substandard service. Additionally, walls were damaged and our home was used as a training ground for workers with little to no experience (with up to 5 unlicensed workers in our house at a time). If you try to dispute charges, you will be threatened with a $100/hr/person ""late fee"" for not paying same day. Avoid at all costs.
