We used Dial Duron for a variety of small home plumbing services in June and July last year at our home in Melbourne, FL. They appeared to have good online and local reviews. The main work involved installing a water heater expansion tank and repiping it to code. In the process, he questioned the reason for a 1/2 inch copper line from the water heater going up into the attic above that he could not fully explain, visualize and follow, so he recommended cutting and capping it. I trusted his advice (I'm not a plumber). The invoice for the water heater work was $411.20.
A few days later, we notice we no longer had any hot water going to our home's addition and bathroom on the far end of the house but no problem with the cold water flow. At that point we decided to get a second opinion and hired our previous plumbers from another company in September. After being initially puzzled, they finally diagnosed the problem: the Dial Duron plumber had cut and capped the hot water line to the home's addition! In addition, it was leaking. All this required another visit to repair and repipe the hot water line. The total cost to fix the problems caused by Dial Duron was $1060.21 + $692.92 = $1753.13. That plus the initial ""repair"" that caused the problem totaled $2164.33. Despite three attempts to contact them via certified for a refund or at least an explanation or apology, NO RESPONSE. No calls, no texts, no letters. This was also reported directly on their website. And, we still get texts reminding us to schedule our next maintenance visit. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!!
