found DV handyman on yelp and decided to give them a try. I sent them a request for a free quote and James responded pretty quickly. We set up a date for the free estimate. After the estimate we arranged a date for the work to be completed. The work was completed as stated and initially there was some confusion but Devon called me back and was really nice about it. The cleanup after the work was completed was good as well. I contacted one other place for an estimate and DV handyman was by far a better value. originally 4stars but adding a star because of the way devon handled the situation.

They are good to provide free estimate. But there estimate is 4 times higher than other company . Still they were not sure if it's maximum . They provided me estimate of around $5000 as compare to other company will do for $1300. So careful about estimate .On September 1st 2018 I just saw their response that they never came to visit the site. They came to visit site and provided estimate after looking at job .

I contacted Diablo Valley Handyman and scheduled the job thru James, the owner, and gave me a reasonable quote. I needed to remove several fairly large outdoor window shutters throughout the 2nd floor exteriors that were coming apart. The handyman, Ryan, came by and did an exceptional job, removing, sealing, patching and paint; all done on a very hot day. Job well done.

We contacted James to have 3 ceiling mounted garage racks installed and we couldn't be more please with the entire process. James was quick to respond, and offered by far the best quote. The two man crew (Joe and Jeff) were nothing short of amazing. They went above and beyond the call of duty with the installation; taking the time to ensue that the racks were installed with precision and would remain safely attached to the ceiling over the years. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and delivery of a quality product is everything that we were looking for and more. We will be using their services for all of our home improvement needs!

Fair quotes, quick work, and peace of mind for someone who isn't handy! We are renters that are used to apartment living with building handymen that were available 24hrs for major or minor fixes. When we moved to WC to a rental home it became clear that we needed a local handyman in the area. James and Team are knowledgeable, flexible and willing to take the time to listen to a novice describe her issues with a clogged drain in detail over the phone. Billy was sent to fix our drain which he was able to do in 1/2 the time anticipated so he was able to move onto other projects around the house for the same minimum rate. James/Billy will always be my first and only call. They are busy, so plan ahead and if you have an urgent task ask to be put on a cancelation list cause you never know. Regardless I would recommend having a few extra tasks on hand in the event you have extra time during their visit.

Recently had to replace some baseboards and rehook the carpet after a leak, James and his team did a great job.
1. They were flexible to accommodate my schedule.
2. The technician was friendly and courteous.
3. They went above and beyond when the baseboards from the store were too wide, they sawed it on the spot and make sure they matched the rest of the house.
4. Workmanship was good.
4. Their estimate was fair.
