DFW Electrical Service
Company Overview
DFW Electrical Service began in 2007 to meet the rising electrical demands of the Dallas and Fort Worth region.
With over 30 years of combined expertise in residential, multi-family, and commercial electrical work, we can tackle any project—large or small. We are an owner-operated business at DFW Electrical Service. We don’t have sales staff like our bigger rivals; our team consists solely of qualified electricians. The technician you meet during your initial appointment will be the only one you interact with. We steer clear of sales gimmicks, offering upfront and honest pricing. Should you require just an estimate, we are happy to offer that for free. Integrity and honesty are at the core of our values. Each of our electricians is background-checked, drug-tested, and holds a valid Texas license.

One of the worst businesses I've ever had to dealt with. They were supposed to come replace our smoke detectors. Scheduled to come out on a Wednesday, then they rescheduled for Monday saying the technician was sick. Later technician very unprofessionally talked to me and said I have to do this on Saturday instead of Monday because they no longer service this area from Monday. How unprofessional it is to decide in the middle of a WO they wouldn't service this area while it was them who rescheduled it in the first place? Avoid them at all costs
These guys scheduled an appointment with me between 1-3 pm. I left my phone in my living room and went into my bedroom around 12:10. Contractor calls me at 12:15 and I don't answer. Apparently he was calling to tell me he was 10 minutes from my house. He arrives at my gate at 12:30 and calls again, I was still away from my phone. He leaves my house.
I come back to my phone at 12:39, see his missed calls, and call him back. He is curt and rude. It's my fault I was away from the phone, we will have to reschedule. I am laughing to myself--is this guy for real?
He schedules me for 1-3, calls at 1215 to say he will be half hour early, arrives at my gate and leaves because he doesn't have the code. All this happens between 1215 and 1230. That's a 15 minute window he gives me to come back to my phone, see that he was early, and give him the code. He doesn't even wait 5 minutes at my gate, although it is HIM, not me, that is off schedule. He doesn't offer to turn around and come back when I call him at 12:39, less than 10 minutes after he arrived at my gate (half an hour before the scheduled time) and leaves.
I left a review of his unprofessional service with his office. He CALLS ME ON THE PHONE to ""clear some stuff up"" and apparently thinks he's going to educate me about why it was my fault--not his--that this all went down. ""It's not my responsibility to wait for customers,"" he says. Apparently this guy, and his company, is under the impression that when a professional gives a customer a scheduled time frame (here, 1-3), it is the customer's job to wait anxiously by his phone all day JUST IN CASE the professional decides out of the blue to arrive early. And if the customer happens to be away from his phone for a few minutes--it's not the professional's job to wait. He can just drive off, even if it is still well before the time he told the customer he would arrive.
I asked him: ""why didn't you just turn around and come back? It was not even 10 minutes after you called and it was still twenty minutes before the start of the 2 hour time frame you said you would arrive in?"" His response: ""I was already on the freeway."" In other words, customer service means nothing to this unprofessional group. Neither he nor DFW Electrical Service apologized for treating me this way. Why waste your time doing business with people who don't care about their customers? I wouldn't--you've been warned.
My Home Warranty Company assigned DFW Electrical to come to my house. First they said I had an appointment on a Monday from 9-10:00 and I cancelled. They didn't even call me until 9:00 AM that same day. Never had an appointment. Was suppose to call me next day to schedule an appointment for Wednesday and never called. Wednesday they called and said someone would be at my house late that evening and would call 30 min. prior to arrival, never called. They also NEVER answer any calls for me or the Warranty Company and NEVER return calls or show up when they do finally say they are! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Why would you want a Company that irresponsible work on your electric???
I placed a request to fix a wobbling ceiling fan through the warranty. I was given DFW electrical Service as a contractor. When I called to set an appointment, I specifically asked if the warranty would cover it and they assured me they will. The electrician came on site to tell me that it will nit be covered and they charge me 75 dollars for the trip. When I explained that they could have done it over the phone and asked why they intentionally given me the wrong the wrong information, they could nit explain it. They just came so that they can charge me for the trip. They know it is their only way to rip me off. Be aware. Look for honest contractors elsewhere.
We contacted DFW Electrical thru our home warranty company and they called us the next business day to set up our appointment.
Steven called us when he was 15 min away and was here in 10!
He immediately answered all of our questions and knew what he was doing. I couldn't have been happier with the knowledge, experience, professionalism and honesty shown by this company. As a small, family owned local business, they impressed us far more than the ""Big Guys"" and we would not hesitate to call (and recommend) them again.
We made an appointment through our home warranty and this company was suppose to do the work. It was for our loft, which is an hour from our home. We called the company to see when they would show and they provided that information. The electrician just called us to let us know he was 20 min away and wouldn't wait for us. He said the warranty company isn't his boss & we needed to find another electrician to do the work. We are just one person and he didn't need us. The attitude and audacity of this guy was unprofessional and very rude. We will never refer this company!!!
The 1st time they came, they didn't complete the job. The second time they didn't show up at all, I missed 2 days of work waiting on them.
All they had to do was call me and let me know they wouldn't make the scheduled appointment and needed to reschedule.
