Do not hire this man for any work in Louisiana. He does electrical work without a license in the state of Louisiana. He responded when I applied to Home Advisors for some small repairs around my home in July 2020. His quote was double what the average was in my area. Knowing I couldn't use him due to his extremely high prices I let him break up a very small deck for me. He charged $500 dollars and insisted he needed 2 people for this small job. He didn't even haul away the debris. I asked him for a quote to replace my backyard fence and his quote again was astronomical. So I told him I would wait until after the Hurricane season. Fast forward to Hurricane season, we were hit by Hurricane Zeta and my fence blew down. While using my phone I accidentally called his number. I hung up before he could answer. He called right back. So I thought I would give him another chance with my fence. I asked him if he would honor his quote and he said no, and raised it by $1000 dollars because of the Hurricane. I was desperate so I agreed to have him come out to remeasure for my fence, while looking for more bids. He came to my house unannounced on a Sunday morning. He didn't remeasure. He demanded I gave him 50% for an advance to lock down his services. Stupidly I gave him the advance for $1000 which wasn't 50% but 30%, through PayPal for some protection. Then he called 2 days later to say his was on his way to get the materials and wanted the rest of the 50% of the fee for the materials. I then knew he was shady and refused to give him more. I asked him if he was licensed and insured and his said yes. I also said I would need a signed contract, proof of liability insurance and proof of his contractor's license. The next day he texted me to say he couldn't provide any of these things. I asked for my deposit back and as of this day his refund is pending. If I get my money back I will be lucky. Do not hire this man. If he says he is insured and licensed in the state of Louisiana, he isn't. Go to the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and see for yourself. He is a liar, run away from his demands for money before doing any work. No liability insurance. Use him at your own risk.
