This was the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Tech was here for 15 mins and diagnosed we needed a new fan. He went to Home Depot for about 45 mins and brought a new one. He installed within 29 minutes and estimated price was 300-400. A few weeks later, I received an email stating a price without an invoice. I asked for an invoice, it was extremely vague. The ceiling fan that was purchased was $64. They are charging $134 plus a trip charge to and from Home Depot and labor of three hours of $420. Total bill was around $600. The tech was not here installing a simple fan for three hours. They are thieves. Avoid at all costs. Currently going back and forth with the price with the company. All they say is it's correct.

Called to get an estimate for installing a Circuit for a Spa , Sub panel with extra breakers for Patio lighting , Spoke with Ryan over the phone he took all my information and stated he would put an estimate together , I ask if they took care of permits with the city and he stated no permit required for a small job , That seemed odd . waited 2 days he never called , I called Ryan back he said he was finishing estimate and would have it shortly , no reply , poor customer service , if your not interested in the Job just say so ..

I've used them three times. The first time I got what I thought was a great deal. The second time, the guys left for about an hour and tried to charge me for the time that they were gone. The third time, today, they did the same thing. They showed up at 8:30, left for an hour to get the parts they needed, then charged me for that hour. I will not call for the 2nd time and ask for a credit on my bill. What I will do, instead, is let everyone know that this company seems to be lacking in the ethics department. Find another electrical company, one that doesn't show up lacking the supplies they need then charge you for their time to go back to the shop and get what they need. That is crooked!

Poor business practices and disclosure. AVOID.
#1 You will be charged their transit time from their last job. This is not disclosed on the website nor over the phone when I made the appointment. Whether or not you agree with this practice, you don't just spring it on a customer at the end with no previous disclosure or agreement.
#2 Padded time. The tech moved things he did not consult me on, which has affected our fixed dryer vent. The tech WAS polite and personable, but this job became much longer than it should have been due to him not communicating to me that he didn't WANT to do the solution we ultimately agreed on and did. His efforts and time spent avoiding that are on him, not me, as I have no issues with it (nor does it violate any code or anything like that.) An hour to diagnose/discuss is completely reasonable - almost two hours in such a small home is not. The actual work fixing the issue took only a half hour.
#3 Miss-billing/double billing/bad math. I was presented with a bill for almost twice the time that I should have been.
#4 lack of receipt. I asked to be invoiced (so I could call in to discuss the overbilling) and at that point the tech stated he couldn't leave a copy of the receipt at all. The receipt that I saw briefly did not itemize the materials charges nor was I offered receipt on those, just a single due amount listed.
#5 Bad attitude from management/owner. When I called in to dispute the billing (I also emailed a detailed time line based on the timestamps in my phone each time the tech called me, his arrival time(s) witnessed by my housekeeper, etc) the owner or manager that I spoke with - Bruce? - argued with me. He told me about this ""transit time previous to the job"" that was never disclosed to me (not even by the tech before he left). He confirmed that the tech took a second job during mine. (I knew this and was okay with it - I was only not ok with being BILLED for it!) I explained that the tech was gone for two hours. Bruce told me he'd be ""eating"" the two hours (wouldn't that be billed to the other customer? I'm still confused why I'd be charged for someone else's job!). At no time did Bruce apologize, he treated me like I was trying to pull something!
All of this was to move a single exterior outlet btw.
SHADY, stay away! Despite the agreement that I reached over the phone, I will not relax until i've received the ""corrrected"" bill and it is paid and done with!

They have great employees and do great work. But the final bill was more than quoted. I would use them again but get an estimate in writing. Good people to work with.

It's a scary thing when an electrical problem comes around and you are clueless as to the cause. I have found Denton Electric to be the perfect solution and preferred over calling the fire dept. They came quick, were very polite and knowledgeable and got the problem taken care of. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone with the need for an electrician and I would use them again without any reservation. I am not a paid advertisement or a relative.

Denton Electric pretty much redid all of the electric work at our office. Danny was awesome, and they completed the job quickly! Will definitely recommend them and him to any one I know!

Danny the Electrician was great. Did fast work came out the Day I called HOWEVER when I got the bill they charged me 65% higher than the same Fan was at Lowes. When I called to inquire, Jose told me I should have bought the fan from Lowes. REALLY!!. As long as you have your own product and supplies than I would recommend them.

We are remodeling our kitchen and needed outlets moved, and can lights installed. Danny was our electrician; he was so nice and professional. DEI got our work done the same day that we called!! The prices were so reasonable that I was shocked. We highly recommend Denton Electric, and will use them again.
