Hancock did an amazing job on our kitchen fluorescent to LED conversion. While most electricians we contacted wanted the quicker (and pricier) solution of a new LED fixture, I think Den Electric understood LED tube lights was a better option for us. Thank you!

After submitting my Yelp.com ""Request a Quote"" late one evening, say, past 17:20 PM (two years ago) and within twenty minutes or so, Hancock Chan was the VERY first one to reply! And since we had a situation where one electrical outlet was hanging outta our bathroom wall and we were concerned for the overheating of the rocker switch and electrical outlet and potential fire hazard (after our relative in-law failed to help and repair this , we had NO choice but to hire him that same evening! Then we requested another job to repair a small rocker switches that was ""sunken"" into the wall for our front door. I felt the prices were slightly higher than expected. Unfortunately, we had to pay cash. However, I liked his electronic / paperless invoicing, which I had to request via text messaging and to which he later sent via email. And since this was an ""emergency"" and a late-night job, my requests were fulfilled! Thanks, Den Electric!

We hired Hancock for several electrical projects. Over text, Hancock quoted a price and we agreed, but when he arrived he added unreasonable costs on top of it. For example, we had him replace a ceiling fan. After the old fan was removed, Hancock asked to charge EXTRA to install the new fan because it didn't come as ""one piece"" (the blades were not attached). I've had so many ceiling fans installed throughout my life and I have never even once heard of a single ceiling fan that came as ""one piece"" and didn't require assembling. No other contractors ever requested extra charge. I was shocked but just paid the extra cost because he already started the project.
After he left we realized that the light from the same outlet didn't work anymore. We requested Hancock to come back to fix it, but he said he needs to charge if he comes back. I didn't want to deal with him anymore, so I hired another electrician who fixed it. An extremely bothersome and bad experience.

They helped me install a hardwired ev charger and upgrade to a 60amp breaker. I'm really happy with the service. They were friendly, communicative, responsive over text, showed up on time (within a 30m window), reasonably priced, and did a really clean job. Bonus points for putting everything neatly into the charger box after they were done. Would definitely hire again.
