Recommended Customer Reviews
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Don't pay attention to the bullshit reviews. This is and should be rated a 5 STAR COMPANY ALL DAY LONG. I have been using Dempsey since 2004 to do electrical work around my house. Recently I had them install LED lights in my den, LED panel in my laundry room and a whole home surge protector. Chris Cloyd did a great job, and the results were impressive! This company is reliable, competent and very aggressive on pricing. Richard Dempsey is to be congratulated on running a tight ship! I wouldn't use anyone else. As I said before, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Worst customer service. Did not have work done, but if you catch these gentleman in the wrong mood, they are not kind nor even tempered. I was essentially told to bugger off and find someone else to do the work because I called to check on a estimate.
I called at 8am; service rep was at my home by 11am. James took my request for service. Very nice to speak with and I felt they were pleased to help. Repaired (2) lamp posts outside within an hour. Tech (Dale) was knowledgeable and went about his work precision. Extremely pleased with service. Would recommend to friends and family.
I have used this company several years ago with good results. For this call today they installed an additional electrical outlet for us. Great work. On time and courteous service. I am happy to recommend them and will use them again.

After we moved into our new office, the electrical
Subcontractor that our construction company had used failed to fix several chronic issues.
I shopped around and decided to let Dempsey do it. They fixed the issues that we had at the time and I have now been calling Dempsey whenever we have an electrical
Issue.
I am very pleased with their work and feel that I finally have someone I can trust. Even better, the COI requirements of our property was no big deal to them, so I don't have to hassle with waiting for days to get an updated COI before work can be done; they usually get that to me within a matter of hours.
If you have projects in your office, give them a shot.
Wow! I needed a new outlet added to my wall so I could hang my TV. Dempsey electric came out the next day and had it done in less than an hour. They electrician was friendly and professional. There was not an ounce of mess afterwards either. So pleased we used them for our electrical needs!
UPDATE - This companies word is about as good as their service. The owner states they sent a replacement check, a week later still no check! This is a prime examples what you can expect from Dempsey Electric. If the owner can't keep his word to his customers, you can only imagine how the rest of the employees do their job.
Don't let Dempsey do it !
Should be the motto.
I own a investment condo that had 2 receptacles in the master bedroom that were not working. Straight forward. The electrician showed up by 10 am. He call me back at 1pm to advise me that something was wrong at $ 80 a half hour rate.
Really !
My piggy bank puckerd up!
It gets better , I think you get point.
$1000 for a days work. LATER !
I got alot of excuses, two receptacles that I supply , wire , wirenuts, 4 holes in my drywall and ceiling total in my condo LATER!
I'm a industrial electrician that troubleshoots multimillion dollar equipment, and I got charge a week work of wages in 7hrs.
Yeah!
Very disappointed in the customer service. We set up an appointment days in advance from 1pm-4pm. I called when I left work to confirm that someone would be coming and they confirmed. I waited, waited, and waited some more. Finally at 4pm, I called back and they told me they were working on an apartment building and would have to reschedule. At the very least I should have gotten a call to let me know no one would be coming so I wouldn't waste more time than I had to.
I had a very good experience with Dempsey Electric. I received an estimate for a panel replacement over the phone, and they were very professional and pragmatic when it came to price.
My electrician, Mark, was great and also very professional. I would use him for all of the electrical work I can't do myself.
There is only one bad part of my experience, hence the 4/5 stars. I received a cash discount for paying cash (i.e. not using credit and Dempsey getting charged by VISA/MasterCard etc.), and while I used the word ""cash"", I thought it was implied to most companies that ""cash"" means cash or check or money order, all payments that would not charge the receiving party a fee. When I went to write a check, the electrician called ""the boss"", which I'm assuming is a Dempsey, and the boss told him that ""cash means cash"", so I had to go to the bank and get $1800 cash and hand over to the electrician. I believe this to be unacceptable as you put your electrician at risk since cash is the least controlled currency there is. It would have been just as easy to accept a check or money order.
