we we're in the market for a new chandelier, we searched for, probably months if not a year or so until we found the one we were looking for. So we decided to purchase our dream chandelier & wait on the installation until we had a few minor remodeling project taken care of first. So,after we finish all of our remodeling projects, we decided to leave the best for last which was our chandelier. We shop around for electrical companies to get a quote on the installation until we call Del Rey. We made a quick appointment for the weekend, they showed up on time & provided us our estimate & since the price of the estimate was something we had in mind we decided to go with El Rey Electric. They showed up the following day & installed our new chandelier, they did all the job from the electrical wiring to the installation & cleaning, we we're pretty happy with the service, the price & the results. This company is great. Sunny who answers the phone is wonderful and friendly. I tried fixing an outside electrical light fixture and I tore it out of the wall. I called Sunny to say I had electrical wires hanging and she sent Eric who came right away. He was on time and a great guy. Knows his stuff. The bill just came - they are reasonable and very good. I can't say enough.

I was referred to them as a great reliable company. They came out and it took several emails to get the estimate only to discover it didnt break the labor down to an hourly rate. When I asked for their hourly rate I got no response for several weeks. When I contacted them again requesting their hourly rate, I received a curt email stating they had decided not to do my job.

So, they never responded to tell me they had withdrawn their bid, which is indicative of the way they view clients.
If a company wont break their bid down explaining how they came to that estimate, beware!

Sunnie is super friendly on the phone and answered all my questions. The technician Mel is marvelous. He was always on time and was on site when inspector inspected the electrical works. He made sure we passed the electrical permit inspection before sending us invoice. We need drywall around our laundry box. Even though it's not related to electric work, Mel is very kind to refer me a drywall guy who showed up to do the work immediately. Working with Del Rey Electric is the best experience I had. I would recommend them without any reservation!

Del Rey has come out several times to our house and every time we greet knowledgeable and friendly staff. Eric came out Friday and in addition to fixing the issue, was instrumental in our converting our den to LED but with no change in warmth from the incandescent lamps we replaced. His advice was spot on and we now use a fraction of the power. Awesome work, awesome people.
