I found Chris of Del Mar Electric through Nextdoor. He had several excellent reviews, so I called him for an issue we had with our outdoor lighting. He was prompt, quickly figured out what was wrong, and got it fixed. I've had him here a few times since for various issues and have always been happy. We highly recommend him!

We called Del Mar Electric to do a couple of unique jobs at our home in Rancho Santa Fe. One of the jobs was to install a motor for a sculpture and we had a number of other things on our punch list. Chris and Del Mar Electric are saved in my phone and I will continue to call him for all of our electric needs! I highly recommend him! The first time I called I was in a pinch--leaving on a business trip and worried about a light fixture that had had dangerously shorted out. He came after work--on his way home--to ensure that our home would be safe before I left my kids and husband home before I left town to travel! Tonight I called because an electrical outlet had stopped working... My Dad was visiting and is pretty handy. Before coming over and without charging us, he was willing to talk my Dad on the phone and to walk him through the steps required to repair the outlet successfully! We saved money this time, but we certainly will be calling Chris again the next time we need an electrician. He's fair, honest, kind, detail-oriented (even remembered my dog's name!) and you won't be disappointed.

This is my second experience working with Chris at Del Mar Electric. The first time I called him regarding a malfunctioning plug at a vacation rental I manage. He was on time, neat, and did the work for a fair price. So when all new appliances were being delivered to my home today and I was missing a plug for the range, I contacted Chris. He was at my house quickly. After installing a 220v plug, he finished setting my range in place and even leveled the feet. I cannot praise Chris enough! He's a really good electrician who is also a really nice person. He's a pleasure to work with.

Our Long and heavy Chandelier was coming out of the ceiling. We called Del Mar Electric in the evening and they were here in 30 minutes, did a very professional job, which wasn't easy. Both Chris and his helper were very courteous. I would definitely refer and use them again.

Our animal hospital lost power with a patient under anesthesia (ie. A true 'life or death' situation), and Del Mar dropped everything to come out asap and help, as our property management company told us it was our responsibility to find an electrician in our circumstance.

The problem ended up being much more simple than any of us realized, so while it was a simple fix and made ZERO profit for Del Mar, there was a professional but personal, ""no hard feelings"" sentiment to the end of the crisis.

We can't thank Del Mar electric enough for being so ready to help, and we will ABSOLUTELY telephone them again in our hour of need. It is so rare to find compassionate people in most businesses these days: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, Del Mar Electric, for being an exception to that rule.
