Where do I even begin???!! First off, I am always skeptical of home repair people. I guess it stems from my bad experience with a plumber years ago..but I digress. We called Chris at Del Mar Electric about an issue I had with my circuit breaker box thingy. It had tripped and caused my dryer to burn out. At first my husband called Chris and Chris was super honest with him and told him he was really busy and didn't foresee getting to us for a couple of days. I called around to a couple of other electricians and didn't get calls back or was just plain turned off by their customer service skills. I had heard that Chris does a good job so I made the decision it was worth waiting for Chris to take a look at our issue. This time I called him back and I told him ""look, I'm in a world of hurt..I'm a mom without a dryer!!! My life as I know it has basically come to a complete stop and I am a desperate woman."" He laughed and said he would squeeze me in as soon as he could. True to his word he showed up when he said he would and fixed our problem very quickly and efficiently. Chris has an easy manor about him kind of like a soulful surfer who just happens to be a kick-ass electrician. He did a great job, did it quickly and for a price I thought was more than fair for the work performed. I highly recommend that you call Chris at Del Mar Electric if you need an expert electrician who is reliable, trustworthy and solid all the way around.

Chris did an amazing job! Super nice and honest and did not ask for a troubleshooting fee which most of the others do. Was able to hunt down a breaker panel which saved me from paying for an entire breaker box. Installed some new dedicated outlets and repaired my bad breakers which actually melted onto the panel. Chris is a great person who does great work. Highly recommend him.

We have used Del Mar Electric on three occasions over the past year and on each occasion Del Mar Electric has exceeded our expectations. The most challenging job was to revive a sloppily installed ancient low voltage lighting system that we inherited from the prior owners. Rather than to try to sell a new system, Chris volunteered that he thought the old one could be salvaged. After a bit of tinkering he had it up and running and we've been delighted with the results. I'd recommend him extremely highly.

Chris is the best! Some one else came and quoted a total overhaul. Chris looked at us and laughed. He did the job for 1/5 the cost of the other quote. Said it was an easy repair. He was in an out in a few hours. Very nice and let our 9 year old son watch (from a safe distance) while he worked. Would hire him again in a second.

Chris from Del Mar Electric installed 4 ceiling fans and two smoke detectors in my home. Not only was he thorough, professional, and trustworthy, he was truly a nice guy. His work was carefully and well done (I know, my brother is an electrician). He definitely didn't cut corners. The fans work perfectly, no wobbling, and no drywall or painting repair work needed. Chris was recommended by a friend when we needed a switch and ceiling box installed for a ceiling fan and to install a new interior entry light above our front door. He showed up right on time, discussed some options with us and then got right to work. He was very careful to cover our furniture to protect it from plaster dust, and to clean up when the job was done.

Chris clearly understood what we wanted and helped us understand what he planned to do to get us that. He was very patient as we needed to spray paint the ceiling cover for the entry light after he had removed it with the old light. He was willing to work at the nearly 20' height of the ceiling and worked safely while he was up there.
