Thought I would give Del Air a 2nd chance. What a mistake. Called on a Friday at 4:30. Had my new unit stop working and note Del Air sold and installed the system less than 2 years ago. They told me the couldn't do anything for me until Monday. This is the worst company you ever want to deal with. They will not get another chance with me.

I've been a loyal Del-Air customer for over 5 years and when I asked them to install a smart thermostat on a regularly scheduled maintenance visit, the price quoted was $200.
Considering they would already be at my property that seems a bit excessive. I'll be looking for a new service company.

Had a replacement 3.5 ton installed by JD & William they did an excellent job started at 9 o'clock in the morning and finished at 4:30 in the afternoon have a brand new carrier unit installed they did a great job and were very professional cleaned up everything! Would strongly recommend them!

Three years ago, Del-Air installed a defective A/C & A/H pair. I went round with them to fix it, and they finally did. But during the past three years, the same units have broken repeatedly, requiring me to pay service fees and whatnot. Last year the coil went bad, and after complaining, Del-Air did replace it for free. However, the new coil installed last year has also gone bad, and now Supervisor Rick Nottage is requiring me to pay for it which is about $1,000. I don't understand why Del-Air can't seem to do the job right and either install good working equipment or finally fix it when it breaks. I've now made a second report to the BBB and am reaching out to the CEO and the CFO via registered mail. I'm an attorney, and if this doesn't do it, I guess I'll sue?

Been a little while, but the system these guys installed never did function properly. It had a computer guidance they kept replacing a PC board for, and making adjustments. When I called them several times for service when it was not cooling or working, they were OK while I had the warranty in effect, but then when it was older they hit me hard with an 'iffy' and costly repair that actually wouldn't allow the heat pump to function. Anyway, got rid of the Lennox they installed and put in a cheaper but efficient system that has been working well for a few years now. I can't recommend these guys as they had 6 guys at my home one evening, and the system still was not working right when they left!

My 11 year old central A/C unit which had been working correctly the past 10 years was not keeping my house cool (77 degrees), so I called Del-Air to perform preventative maintenance on 5/19/20. The PM had not been performed on the unit for 3 years. Jamie who performed the PM, said that the condenser coils were dirty because my dryer vent was close to the condenser and lint was over the coils, which he cleaned. He said that I may need a recharge of R-410A refrigerant, since the evaporator coil was cooling the return air to about 76 degrees, but the unit appeared to be in working condition. Cost $79.
The next couple of weeks the system seemed to cool the house ok, but every day it appeared to start to have trouble again. I then decided to call another A/C company for an actual service call (6/22/20). The technician said that there may be an evaporator leak, but he would need to perform a leak check ($95), and in order to perform the leak check he would have to max out the R-410A refrigerant (the invoice show 7lbs which I assume means it was close to 100% empty, since the max on the condenser is 7lb 2oz @ $39 per pound).
Fortunately, they found the leak (apparently a root had been rubbing against the copper) in the suction line going to the condenser an ""easy fix"", so the evaporator coil did not need to be replaced (~$1300). The issue was they could not repair the leak that day, but I was given a verbal quote of less than $700 for all the work and supplies used that day as well as the cost to repair and bring the refrigerant to 100% again because it was an easily accessible small leak, but not until Monday. The other issue was refrigerant would continue to leak for another 4 days. Cost $467 - $99 Service Call, $273 - 7lbs refrigerant, $95 leak check.
On Monday, I received a quote for the repair of the cooper tubing leak and 3lbs of R-410A - Cost $439. Over $200 more than verbally quoted. I therefore contacted a friend, who is knowledgeable of patching copper tubing to repair the suction line for $70, but he was not certified to add refrigerant to the system. Did not feel comfortable having the company that wanted to overcharge me to repair the suction line tubing, so I made an appointment with Del-Air to recharge the system with R-410A.
This is why Del Air is getting only 2 stars - First of all, when I called their 24 hour line at around 8am, I was transferred to their call center, who I guess transferred me to general A/C service line. I stayed on the line for about 20 minutes, but they offered a call back option, which I selected because I was tired of waiting. It says that I will be contacted in the order that I was in the queue. The return call came at 2:49pm (over 4 hours later). I had already called again at ~11:00am and actually got their Kissimmee Service line. Amelio (who I believe actually works in the Del Air Service department) who took my call was very nice and advised that a technician would call 30 minutes before arriving at my address the next day. I then received a verification call at about 5pm, stating that a tech would be out between 7:30am - 8:30am the next day. Jean arrived within the verified time frame.
Jean advised me that he would need to do a diagnostic for $79, even after I explained what had happened, that I knew I needed a recharge after the leak was patched. I then agreed to pay the $79, which I knew would result in the refrigerant recharge being needed. I then asked how much they charge per pound of R-410A, this is where they lost my business and all future business. Basically, I was told it is $79 for the first pound and $69 for every pound after. I explained that the company that found the leak was charging $39 per pound. I advised Jean that I am cancelling the call because I felt I am being over charged for the refrigerant and did not like that I had to pay $79 for diagnostic on top of that. I even told him the low side was at 130 PSI and the high side was 360 PSI, so the unit is currently not efficiently cooling.
I have contacted a 3rd company who would not quote their refrigerant charge over the phone, but I guess we will see.

I bought a whole air conditioner unit over $6,000 five years ago ,I,ve had nothing but trouble with it .I tried to reach them it was impossible , they came several times to fix the mold that was growing outside the handler in the garage but no luck they are cutting corners to fix the box that is located on top the handler because it was still under the warranty, they kept saying it's my garage that it is to hot ,i had my old AC that gave up after
18 years never had this issue . they tried to tell me is not there fault,so my warranty expired now and they want to charge me money to fix the box that was needed done right from the beginning ,Finally I got hold of them that i have been trying since beginning of the year and now they tell me its gonna to cost me almost $400 to fix it the right way , they are scammers they do not deserve any STARS. They can't guarantee anything they are THEIVES!!! Now I will never recommended THIS COMPANY to anyone not even to my enemy.

Del Air is incompetent and use less.
NEW UNIT
I recently had Del Air install a new Lennox HVAC System. After 2.5 years The system's Fan would not turn off and would run non stop despite the unit being turned off.
USE GREENS ENERGY INSTEAD
With in mind, I called Greens Energy Services to do annual service instead and learned that my unit fan's motor was damaged due to a power surge.
TAKEAWAYS
1. DEL AIR never suggested nor installed a surge protector which is HIGHLY recommended
IMPORTANT NOTE: HVAC Surge Protection 101: https://www.parkerandsons.com/surge-protector-for-your-ac-unit/
2. My fan was damaged and needs replaced
3. Beware & Never use Del Air
4. Cost me $500 in repairs
5. This is the second incident involving DEL AIR INCOMPETENCE

If I can give negative stars I would. This review will be updated with the full review once I can gather my thoughts as I am just too FURIOUS to do so at the moment. Just know DO NOT USE DEL-AIR FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!! I was ROBBED.

Well for starters I purchased a brand new house that cost me about 240k. Del air advertises that they install carrier, trane and lennox. Unfortunately they went with the cheapest option and installed a Goodman. The cheapest option that they dont even advertise by the way. 2nd, I had an issue with the system and the rep on the phone kept emphasizing it's a maintenance issue that there is a charge to get someone here. House is brandspanking new with a new system and I'm getting charged? Anything for a buck. What happened to customer service. The minute I open the door off the back the tech kept saying I'm having a maintenance issue. I'm pretty sure that was on the W/O to say it. There should at least be 1 year of free maintenance on top of the system warranty. If that would of been the case I would have been a lifer with you guys. I would have bought all the maintenance and warranty packages after that. But this company really disappointed me. I had to fight to not get charged. There was something wrong with the system and he fixed it. I'm extremely disappointed.
