Terrible experience, they will charge you to ""misdiagnosis"" your unit and suggest you to buy a new one for 10K.

Here is the whole experience if you want to know more: Our Carrier 5T unit was originally supplied and installed by Del-Air, so when we move in to this house, we bought the annual service package from Del-Air. When we had problem with our A/C, here is what we experienced:

1) It took couple of days for them to send somebody to check on the unit in the hot summer;

2) Del-air tech finally came and spent a long time checking the unit and told us the compressor is bad, it's 8 years old, we would be better off buying a new one, even we had paid $300 for the annual service, we still paid $100 for his ""diagnosis"", and made an appointment with their sales;

3) Luckily we called 2 other companies to give us a quote so we can make a more informed decision. The 2nd morning, a salesman from another local contractor K company (this salesman is also obviously technically savvy) took a look at our unit, in less than half an hour he fixed it, turned out it wasn't the compressor, it was just a loose connection. This salesman from K company (I'm not listing this company's name here just so Del-air won't think I'm paid by their competitor to write this review) didn't charge us $100 for diagnosis, he didn't charge anything, he fixed the problem and told us there is still life in our Carrier unit. Our A/C has been working fine since.

4) The Del-air sales finally arrived, we told him the whole story, and asked for $100 refund, instead he just kept on pitching us to buy a new unit from Del-air, and if we buy a new unit, he would write off the $100 ""diagnosis"".

This is the whole experience we had. Del-air is not responsive, charge you extra for their technician's ""misdiagnosis"" so they can pitch you to buy a new unit for $10K, when you asked for a refund for the misdiagnosis, turns out the only way to get a refund is to spend 10K for a new unit. This is a truly horrible business practice!

I personally work for one of the biggest commercial A/C manufacture, I understood how important a good installation is to an A/C. I will strongly suggest you to stay away from this company. This is really a terrible terrible experience.

Little over a year ago Dellair installed 2 new AC units in my home. The larger one for the main house the pipe containing the float switch would fill with water and shutdown when it got extremely hot. 5x they came out over the warranty period, cleaned out the drain pipe (though it was not clogged and dripping) then they turned their focus to the pitch of the drain pipe. Though the raise the platform of the air handler at one point, the problem persisted. This last repair trip, now out of warranty, the repairman told me the problem was as it got hotter the AC unit would extract more moisture from the air, increasing amount of water the flowing into the drain line. The extra weight caused the 20' long line to dip hindering the flow of water to the point of backing up filling the float valve and causing the AC to shut down. A reasonable person would assume they would stand behind the shoddy install, nope. Below is a picture of the repairman's level on the drain pipe, and the strap he tied to the pipe to fix the ""dip"" in the line. The exact thing I had argued at the start was the problem!!! Over $12K spent and they won't stand behind their work. DO NOT HIRE!!

The soonest I could set an appointment was two days out, around noon. I took the day off to be home and called at 3:30 and after waiting on hold for just about 15 minutes, they informed me that they had all my info from my previous call, but they had no appointment actually set up. They couldn't come for another two days. No thanks.

Saturday night our AC was running but not producing cold air. Woke up to the house being at almost 90 degrees. I tried contacting them Sunday morning and was told I'd recieve a text which I didn't then my wife tried calling and they said they were going to have someone come out same day. Noone ever came and my wife couldn't get a hold of noone at the company. My wife is pregnant and I have a 3 yr old and dog. The house reached 90 degrees so they had to sleep at my in laws. Today which is monday, I recieve a text that they will be reaching out to me first thing in the morning. Its now almost 2pm and nothing. So am now going with Elite instead. Also FYI Del Air installed my heating and ac on my new house build and it was shotty work. No longer using them.

We have had a few HVAC contractors over the years while we have been in Florida, but most were horrible, unfriendly, rip you off were very expensive and do little to no maintenance. Del-Air has been great! They are very prompt, friendly, reasonable pricing and contracts and do a great job. The first time we used Del-Air they were prompt, friendly, explained the work they were going to do and cost beforehand. I had one small issue while on contract and they were here the same day, and no charge. Most HVAC contractors we had for annual maintenance spent 20-30 minutes and barely did anything. Del-Air was here 90 minutes and went over everything with me. I personally would recommend Del-Air for your HVAC service.

I bought a whole air conditioner unit over $6,000 five years ago ,I,ve had nothing but trouble with it .I tried to reach them it was impossible , they came several times to fix the mold that was growing outside the handler in the garage but no luck they are cutting corners to fix the box that is located on top the handler because it was still under the warranty,they kept saying it's my garage that it is to hot ,i had my old AC that gave up after
18 years never had this issue . they tried to tell me is not there fault,so my warranty expired now and they want to charge me money to fix the box that was needed done right from the beginning ,Finally I got hold of them that i have been trying since beginning of the year and now they tell me its gonna to cost me almost $400 to fix it the right way , they are scammers they do not deserve any STARS. They can't guarantee anything they are THEIVES!!! Now I will never recommended THIS COMPANY to anyone not even to my enemy.

I was trying to getting in touch with this company for 2 weeks I need it a new air conditioner installed for my neighbor I left voice mails I talked to the secretaries and nobody ever got back to me I also try to schedule my maintenance but nobody ever got in touch with me now they send me a letter telling me my maintenance is about to expire so I set up an appointment for them to come on the 17th of October to my home they tell me that they would be here after 12 but before 5 now at 3 in the afternoon I called to make sure that they are going to be here in the lady tells me that it will be after 5 how irresponsible can anybody be I have other appointments that I must keep but if I don't wait for them that means that my maintenance is void what do I do at this point I've already paid for this maintenance and I was planning on getting more maintenance for my next year I really don't know what to do

Called at 8:30am on Sunday due to our a/c not blowing cold air. I left a voicemail on their emergency number. It took almost 3 hours to receive a call back. The gentleman called back and told me that they would be out in the afternoon. I asked if they could give me an eta and he told me no but they would be calling me 30 minutes prior to their arrival. It is now 5:00pm and still no call. Not great customer service now that I have wasted an entire day waiting for them. If they gave me an eta when they originally spoke to me I would have been able to do something productive with my day and be home in time for my appointment. I will update this review after they do come.


***update. They just called me at 9:10 and told me they would be out in 20 minutes. So they told me afternoon but they really just meant anytime before midnight. If my warranty wasn't through their company I would never use them.
