My full-time career in the Decorative Concrete Overlay field started in 1989. A very good friend from college had a father who created one of the most distinctive and beautiful decorative concrete overlays available at that time. He named it ""URO-TILE"".

This was back in 1979, and the method was revolutionary. He spent a considerable amount on independent lab strength tests, demonstrating that his method outperformed others in the market.

After working and learning alongside my friend for five or six years, I decided to venture out on my own. I kept pursuing knowledge. There are numerous resources and classes for those who wish to learn and excel.

The Portland Cement Association and several leading manufacturers offer excellent classes. Numerous retailers host weekend seminars to keep up with industry advancements.
