We operate a small church in San Marcos and one of our 10 ton AC units that cools the sanctuary fail and had to be replaced. Well, two years later the second unit failed and we had to do the same song and dance. Both units were large and difficult to remove and we had a risk of a major disruption in our day to day business.

Dean's shop was the best price we found and the crews did a great job of not disrupting our day to day work environment. They showed up on time and the job was completed in a reasonable amount of time. I recommend Walter and his guys

After another company giving us the run around for a week in the middle of July heat, Walter Motts comes to save us! He showed up right on time and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in less than an hour that the other company couldn't do in a whole week. The following day before 8am he was already calling to check on the unit to make sure our house was cooling properly and ready to send a technician first thing if it wasn't.
Mr. Motts has a great reputation with a close friend who is an AC contractor and he comes highly recommended. He was on time, knowledgeable, skilled and experienced (30+ years) and friendly. All of these are qualities that I received from Dean's Shop.I will not hesitate to give this company a call should I need them again.

On 7 December 2016, several of the electrical wires shorted out on our heat pump. We called Dean's Shop because we had used them before and received outstanding service. This time it was no different. The technician was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The problem was found and repaired quickly. The response time was quick and on time. I will definitely call them again if needed and highly recommend them for any heating or air condition problems. I don't usually write reviews, but this service was so extraordinary that I feel they deserve recognition. Thank you.

Prompt and courteous service. My AC is working as good as new! Technician told me what the issue was and resolved it within an hour. I would use Dean's again for any of my AC issues without hesitation!

Worst AC company I have ever used and I will never use them again. Poor service, repairman was an hour late and didn't have the part I needed. They did attempt to sell me the part for 232 dollars (after his boss dropped it off) when the local electrical shop had it for 6 dollars. The repairman shocked himself and I noticed some of my outside wires turned black after that. I did the repair they said I needed to do which was to put a new fuse in the system which is a simple fix. This of course didn't solve the problem (surprise, surprise) so I called and spoke to the owner and they told me there was nothing they would do about the situation. They told me that the tech shouldn't be teaching me how to work on the system but I was interested and asking him questions. The owner was extremely unprofessional with me during the whole phone call. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this business. If I could rate the company lower than 1 star, I would.

First, they were over three hours late. Next, they found the problem; the blower motor had slipped down preventing it from running. They estimated 90 minutes labor for repositioning the motor, no parts involved. Estimated cost $476!. They did not know if the motor had burned out, so there could have been more cost. They never checked the coolant system, so this could have been even more. I'm getting bad vibes, so ended up paying $144 for service call (what?) and will take my chances with somebody else.
