we have ahs home warranty. we needed to have our 9 smoke dectectors checked and replaced. shs said d and d electric would be our workcontract. checking their yelp review, i said ok. ahs said the d and d would contact us. after waiting and waiting, we called them. the schuduler said that she could ""fit us in on thursday between 2 and 5 pm."" ok at 4:45, on thurs. we phoned them asking if he is coming???? we were told they had so much work that they could not make it. so the scheduler put us in on friday between 2 and 5. again at 4:45 we called. again they cannot make it!!!!! now this is not right or businesslike. now we are on the books for monday at 7am. at 8:15 the owner calls and said he will be here in 20 minutes. he bacically told us he would not replace our old smoke alarms that were constantly sounding off throuout the years. we do change the batteries.
the bottom line-over 8 hours of our time waiting for d an d to be told they would not do anything without ahs giving them the ok
i will not invest any more of my time with 2 sub par companies-in my opinion. i am cancelling ahs as well.

Update: We have a 4 year warranty for the work done by D&D. We called since the electrical box housing the 3 switches they installed started drifting inside the wall. It's gotten so bad that we had to tape the third switch to keep the exhaust fan turned on. We made appointment to have them fix the error. Today my wife called Doron (owner) berated my wife for changing the switch cover, saying we did something to make the system faulty. News flash: Our home is Spanish styled and we put up a cover to enhance those features.


My wife and I recently hired D&D to fix our electrical components, add recessed lighting.
We had them do a package deal for a number of items. We payed an exorbitant amount. Make sure you get everything in writing since the owner, Doron makes commitments and backs out. He did not honor his word. DO NOT agree to anything verbally from this guy.
Make sure you supervise the crew. Otherwise your work order will not be done in a complete fashion.

The first project had my hallway light being turned on by the bathroom light, the bathroom light staying on indefinitely and the kitchen and bedroom not turned on at ALL. When asked to have issue resolved we had to wait a whole day.

On top of that they left a mess of patch work, wholes and misaligned fixtures. Be weary of these guys - they'll try to up-charge you on everything.

We've already had them come out on several occasions. Each time we've had to ARGUE in order to get the job done right. Company makes you feel as if you're an inconvenience when you're the one bringing them business. Would not recommend using this company unless you're up for a fight. Third world service!

Avoid this company and save yourself the headache! They are NOT honorable!!!

D and D deserves 6 stars from me. Every person at this company goes above and beyond. They are easy to get in touch with and come through with the best service I have received from a sub contractor in a long time. This is a family run company that makes you feel you are a member of their family. And they do great work on top of that.

Doron was exceptionally professional and punctual. He analyzed why the power keeps going out. Came the next day and replaced the electric sub panel. Did an excellent job at that! THANK YOU!

Doron came to inspect why power keeps going out in my unit. I was out of town and only the tenants were there. He determined that the sub panel was bad and needs to be replaced. After walking me through the analysis, he sent me pictures and videos of the panel, to make sure that I really fully understand that the problem is real.

Due to the holiday, my tenants needed the panel replaced asap. He moved around some stuff and was able to come the very next day at the times that were convenient to the tenants. Although he had his workers do the work, he himself was there most of the time - and was completely hands on!

Afterwards, he send me more pictures and videos, to show me the defects of the old panel. So I know that there was no choice but to have it replaced.

Within 24 hours, the sub panel was replaced, the placed cleaned up and power was back on! Doron and his team did a remarkable job on practically a moments notice. THANK YOU, Doron, for all your help!

Doran and his team's service has been and continues to be amazing. Seven years ago we bought an old house that needed to be fully rewired. As a first time homeowner, Doran worked with me step-by-step to make sure everything was up to code and as we wanted it to be.
