Electricity flows through the core of Day-Lite Maintenance, a family-run business. In Pawpaw, Illinois, the Walworth family launched their electrical career with a generator plant.

During the 1930s, they moved to Santa Ana, California. Dick Walworth, the son, identified an opportunity to deliver lighting solutions to a growing commercial real estate market.

He established Day-Lite in 1961, and as his business grew, he parked service trucks in his parents' orange grove. While maintaining the grove, Zelma and Ray Edward Walworth would stumble upon his new truck.
