At Day-Lite Maintenance, a family-owned company, electricity is our lifeblood. The Walworths first ventured into electricity by owning a generator facility in Pawpaw, Illinois.

In the 1930s, the family relocated to Santa Ana, California. The son, Richard Ray Walworth, affectionately called ""Dick,"" saw a chance to offer lighting services to an expanding commercial property market.

In 1961, he launched Day-Lite, and with a growing fleet, he started using his parents' orange grove for parking service vehicles. Zelma and Ray Edward Walworth would discover his new truck while tending to the grove.
