I wanted to add grounding to the outlets in my house and move an outlet. After doing a thorough investigation, he found that the circuits in the house were crossed up, and recommended changing all the outlets to GFCI instead, otherwise the whole house needed to be rewired. I'm not an electrician, so I can't comment on his expertise, but it seemed like a reasonable explanation to me, and the main thing is that it probably ended up being more work than he expected, but he honored his original quote.

He did put conduit on the outside of the wall, and I would have been happy to pay him more to run it inside the wall, but I didn't care enough to ask him to redo it since it was in the garage, so if aesthetics matter to you, you should talk to him about it ahead of time.

Overall, communication was good, price was good.

Jack did the recessed lighting and various electrical work on our house. He was extremely responsive and responsible. Within a week of reaching out, he was able to coach me for a list of things to prepare for and come out with his crew on time in the morning to get the work done. He did a great job and went above and beyond, even helping install an outdoor power outlet receptacle when his crew took longer than expected. Jack responded instantly to any questions and gave us a competitive price. I can't think of any other electrician to come back to when I have any electrical work that needs to be done.

We reached out to Jack to add recess lighting in our living room. Jack and his partner did an incredible job and I'm very happy with the final outcome. We had contacted a few other electricians but they refused because of our wooden ceiling. Jack and his team did an incredible job. The cutting in the wood was precise and no damage was done. He also took precautions to make sure the floor did not get dirty/ damaged while they were working.

The entire communication with him was smooth and easy! I highly recommend his work. You won't be disappointed.

I bought a Google Hello Nest battery doorbell and decided to hire Jack to convert it to a wired one so I don't have to worry about having to charge and babysit it. He also updated the outlet to a GFCI one.

Jack was easy going, communicative from the start, pleasant to work with, and prompt. He speaks English and Vietnamese. I think his pricing is fair. He took his time to make sure everything worked and was to my liking, such as the view angle, the location of the device, and different options for installation. We ran into an issue with the wall studs being in the way and he was able to provide workable options. He cleaned up after himself, wore a mask, and took his shoes off to do the work.

The work was clean and everything is working great so far! I would hire him again in the future when I need electrical work.

Jack was the only person on Yelp, who agreed to get me out of trouble with a mess another contractor created. Hepled fix all the issues (basically redid project completely) and worked with San Jose Permit office to get everything properly inspected. Super fast in communication, always notified me upfront about next steps. We'd be lost without him. Highly recommend!
