Derek Franklin of D3 Electric worked on our home 2014 and upgraded our outside main panel. He did good quality work at a reasonable price. If that was our only interaction with him he would get a 5/5 stars.

Last September I asked Derek to quote on relocating a sub-panel for my recording studio, add a junction box and any remediation to bring an unpermitted area up to code as that it would pass inspection. Initially Derek came to review the job and gave a verbal estimate. After a week Derek tripled the price saying the verbal original estimate was off and it was a lot of work. After thinking about for 2 days on Oct 1st I simply asked Derek to break out the materials and labor. After saying he would and me following up Derek simply ghosted and on Oct 30th after me asking again if he sent anything he simply said no. Due to various problems with the city and approvals we are still waiting for our permit.

Not fully understanding the lack of response with Derek and that project on hold I reached out to Derek on Monday June 4th 2022. I told him we are in the middle of bathroom remodel and need a 2 new circuits for a whirlpool tub and a few GFCI's switches and recessed lighting relocations. He asked for some pictures and again gave a great verbal quote and said the soonest he could do it would be Saturday at 7am. We confirmed. I texted on Thursday again confirming and Derek didn't respond. I called on Friday and he apologized for not replying to my text but that he would be there on Saturday. Derek never showed or communicated. Repeated texts and calls went unanswered and have still to hear from him. Derek went from someone I would recommend to someone I say you can't count on. It's a real shame considering the quality of his work.

Derick the owner was great. Friendly, prompt, easy to work with and clearly a skilled electrician. His bid was reasonable and he came in on time and within budget. I can't say the same for the fellow who was supposed to do my patching and painting because although he did a good job patching, he never returned to paint despite several attempts to contact him. But I'm not gonna hold that against T3 electric. Electrical work was the main thing and it was well done neatly, promptly and on budget.

Derek showed up in a mask, gave a reasonable estimate and answered all my questions. Then, we agreed on a date for the job. He showed up on time with his helper, both masked, and did the job efficiently, neatly, and in less than eight hours. Derek accepts Venmo payment. In all, Rey happy with the work, which is warrantied. Will call on D3 for my future electrician needs.

I want to praise Derek of D3 Electric for being the best electrical company I have ever done business with. Throughout the years, this has been my go-to company. I have been a customer for over 10 years. I've had wiring done throughout my house, recessed lighting throughout my home as well as in extended living areas. He has prepared older wiring with preciseness and accuracy that has led to me only feeling comfortable with going to him for my needs. My next project is for him to install an electrical service upgrade. I know that this job will be done with the same professionalism and preciseness as the other jobs. Derek and his team at D3 Electric were very professional. They were on time, very kind, and did amazing work. We hired D3 Electric to install 4 ceiling fans in a condo that did NOT have ceiling fan wiring or mounting. I provided the fans and they did ALL the rest. Their price included EVERYTHING including the rough wall patch up (which was much less ""rough"" than I anticipated. All thats left is light sanding and painting). And then, when the job went a day longer than they anticipated, they kept their originally quoted price! I read a lot of reviews of other places and this is super rare. A man of his word. I really appreciated that gesture and dedication to the quote. This, along with the wonderful work, means that I will only call D3 Electric for everything electrical from here on out. You should do the same!

During the construction stage for our ADU, the idiot LABDS made us move the electrical panel on the main house for some reason.

I was referred to Derrick/ D3 and they were able to work with both the city express planning and DWP to have my meter relocate to the front of the house. They also were able to do the rough/ finish electrical to the new studio.

Did a great job on both/ very professional throughout- I would totally used them again on a project.
