Rick from D&N Electric was referred to us by our AC company for an electrical panel upgrade. We are extremely happy for the referral and highly recommend D&N Electric. Rick quickly came out to assess the job and clearly explained what the process would entail, along with a timeline. He worked with SDG&E on all the logistics and to schedule the disconnect/reconnect on our behalf. He was very honest, knowledgeable, pleasant and responsive. Ernie from D&N upgraded the panel for us and did an excellent job. Ernie was also very knowledgeable, pleasant and responsive. We easily passed City Inspection on the electrical work. Our final bill was very detailed with the cost of every electrical part used, along with labor costs...and the final cost was less expensive than the initial estimate. Their prices are very reasonable and hard to beat for the quality received. It's hard to find a trustworthy and honest company these days that puts the customer first and exceeds expectations. D&N Electric is that company and is the best we've found. We will continue to use them while also highly recommending them to family and friends. Many thanks to Rick and Ernie for a smooth project!

Excellent communication and great service! What we thought could be done and what was legal to code was not the same which entailed more work for the electrician, David. Needless to say, he discovered worn and decaying wiring and the job took him more time and a fair amount of excavation. It was done above and beyond - to code and to last! I really appreciate the time he took to do the job right and to D & N for fitting us in their super busy schedule! I highly recommend them and will be using their business again.

We are new to La Jolla and suddenly had an electrical issue. I phoned D&N. The electrician to whom I spoke spent time on the phone with me and walked me through the problem and the correct solution. There was no need for a visit. Coming from another part of the country, I was amazed at the generosity and kindness offered by D&N. I will always call them if there are electrical problems and I will recommend them to everyone.

I had a smoke detector that was chirping over my Queen size bed. Sadly my ceilings are 12-14ft and I was unable to reach. I picked up a business card for D&N from Meanley Hardware and couldn't be happier with my call. Joe answered my call and was very sympathetic to my problem. He made his best effort to send one of his electricians, Logan the next day. Logan was friendly, knowledgeable and within an hour my chirper was gone. I intend to call this company again and recommend highly.

These guys are top notch. They were contracted by our property manager to resolve a breaker issue that had been a concern for well over a year. The previous business had replaced the breaker which was what they were requested to do, although it did not resolve the issue in the long term.

In comes Chris, Rick, and one other guy (sorry I can't recall your name, bud). They assessed the issue to see that the age-old breaker box with a single 30AMP breaker just wasn't going to cut it. Instead of coming in for a quick fix and be done with it, they went above and beyond and called my property manager to request permission to re-wire the breaker and assure this issue be resolved the right way (something you rarely see anymore). They then proceeded to climb in, around, and through some irritatingly small spaces to run power throughout my over 100 year old home (with what I imagine to be the original breaker setup). After installing several new breakers and breaker box, the power source in our house is now ""up to code"" and we no longer have surges when we use our microwave (amongst numerous other power issues we used to constantly have). That was on June 16th, just shy of a month ago, and there hasn't been even the slightest indication of a problem.

To put it plainly, the job was done more than ""just right"". They could have done what the last company did but they took the extra steps and they did a damn good job. I'd hire these guys for anything electrical related.

These guys are great and deserve ALL the stars. Chris and Rick did the best job. I asked if they could install a chandelier in my dining room and add a new switch for it... they were on time, answered all my questions, were super friendly and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and were honestly the best. It's true that they're busy and it took a couple weeks for the appointment but whatever, this was a great experience. Thumbs up all around :)

They were recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. Greg came out on President's Day to see what needed to be done to keep our power from shutting off intermittently. We learned that we needed a new electrical panel on our 75 year old house. He quoted the job and sent Rick the next week as promised. Rick tediously replaced one breaker at a time, standing there for hours. He was professional and friendly. We've had no issues this past week and feel much safer. Greg's billing matched his estimate - all very reasonable.
