After serving six years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Jason met his wife, Tracy, in 1997 and started Custom Touch Electric in 2002 to meet the needs of their family. I do NOT recommend Custom Touch Electric!!!  

Their website states, ""We provide residential customers with the best service in the North County. We deliver fast, high-quality work at reasonable rates. You can count on our expert electricians to be knowledgeable, reliable, and capable.""

I was fooled by such a statement!

First, my original appointment was rescheduled at the last minute, which was fine because I understand delays happen throughout a work day.

The rescheduled date was a couple of days later, and the time was from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. 

I waited, waited, and waited until 6:30 pm and even tried calling them at 5:30, only to get a full voicemail, and to no surprise, Custom Touch Electric was a no show!

I had called with an electrical concern at my house. I explained the issue to the lady who took down my information. She said she would forward this to the electricians and they would get back to me. Two days later, the concern became an emergency. I called and spoke with a different lady. I explained I hadn't been contacted and that it was a serious issue at that point. She stated ""the electricians aren't taking any more projects, would you like to leave a message?"" No, at that point I needed immediate assistance. I selected another company and am grateful for their rapid response, prioritization of my situation and effectiveness.

Where should custom touch electric improve:

-If projects aren't being taken, please say so from the beginning.

-If as an electrician you receive a work order, please respond to it even if it is to decline it.

-Establish (or enforce) a policy of escalation between routine installs and emergencies.

Jason fixed a three way switch that two other electricians said was impossible, and helped me track down and resolve my pool/spa lights where the wiring was a mind boggling disaster. He is highly professional, knowledgable, and has reasonable pricing. I have dealt with many electricians in the past, and he is, without question, the best. I highly recommend him.

I had a mysterious electrical problem at home, which peaked on a weekend, of course. Found this place highly rated, so I emailed Sunday afternoon, got a response within an hour (yay!), and agreed to the day he suggested to come out to diagnose my problem.

When the day came, he called around noon and said he'd be delayed ""a couple of hours."" That wasn't a problem so I said ok. So far I was happy with how things were going.

However, by 4:30 he still hadn't arrived. I called the phone number he'd used to call me, no answer, went to voice mail, I left a message saying ""let me know what's up."" Now it's two days later and I've still not heard from him. I can understand that sometimes things happen and plans have to change, but then you call and say ""I'm sorry, I need to..."" Meanwhile, I got someone else to fix the problem in three hours from first call to completion.
