I have always taken on side projects, but I chose to launch my own company. My former employer, who gave me a chance as a Superintendent on a major project in the southeastern region—the Navy Federal Headquarters in Bueller, FL. We worked as a subcontractor for Barracco Electric, and I started with three other team members. Eventually, the team grew to 50 by the time I moved on from that job.
