I've had Ray come out to my house a few times over the past year and he is always very punctual, friendly, efficient, fast, and reasonably priced. Most importantly, the quality of his work is excellent. I'm sure he'll be back here soon enough.

Ray is phenomenal. He just replaced our main electrical panel. Great price, amazing work, really wonderful to deal with. I'm about to hire him to do additional work for us inside the house. He's really fantastic. Very punctual, very clear communicator, an absolute pleasure. Ray is great!

Amazing service! So efficient, nice, and responsive. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs any sort of work done!

I called last week to make an appointment.
Ray called me back promptly, was very patient and explained everything in details. He showed up this morning on time with his crew and did an amazing job. I am very impressed with his level of professionalism and his patience.

My husband and I bought a home and needed all of the electrical moved in our kitchen for the remodel. Ray was courteous and efficient. He finished the work in a timely manner and it was done professionally. We are thrilled with how easy it was to work with him.

I cannot say enough about Ray the Electrician and C & S Electrical! My husband and I bought a home that needed a lot of work. We had many different contractors. We got referrals, looked up reviews, but none of them came close to Ray. Ray is professional and fair. He was the only contractor who did what he said he would do and it was always right the first time! He thinks the job through and offers suggestions that, in our situation, really helped and improved the outcome. The job was a bit confusing with rewiring, correction of old wring, new wiring, adding a subpanel and removal of old wiring in attic. Ray and his crew were always on time and cleaned up when they were done. So easy to work with! We needed Ray to come back to hang a fixture and he worked around our schedule and came within a couple of days. I can't recommend enough! He's the BEST!!!
P.S. When my brother, an electrical contractor who lives out of town, saw the work he was very impressed!

I am so impressed with not only the quality of Ray's work (GREAT), but his integrity and desire to follow up for any questions we had. The work was extensive. It's an older house and the electrical panel was outdoors, in addition to wiring that wasn't supporting a modern household. He not only relocated the box into an unobtrusive location indoors, but did a gorgeous job of making it flush to the wall AND blending the surface so the aesthetics were above and beyond the call. He also did some rewiring to ensure sufficient flow of electricity, asking as many diagnostic questions as a doctor before working on ""the patient""/house. Plus, two weeks later he returned (free of charge) to answer some touch-up questions and also taught us so much that will help us going forward. If you've gotten this far to have found him, then you're TOTALLY FORTUNATE ALREADY!

Great electrician at affordable prices. Does a lot of the work himself. Ray is top notch.

Ray is a complete professional. I originally hired him to upgrade my old circuit breaker box to 200 amps. It turned out to be a bigger job because the city now required I move the panel because it was in violation of a code since the previous owners had added on to the house. Ray came over to assess the situation and give me a quote. I hired him because he was the only one that indicated a structural issue mounting the box where the city thought it should be. On the day of the work, he and his assistant showed up right on time and got straight to work. They never goofed off or dillydallied the whole time and they cleaned up their work areas completely when finished. They also informed me when they needed to shut off the power so I could save my computer work. The panel looks great (updated, modern) in its new location (city signed off and said it's great). I also had Ray fix several other issues the home inspector had found like outlets not grounded properly, outlets reversed, installing GFCIs near sinks, etc. I also had him add an additional outlet for work computers and isolate it on the circuit breaker. The work was top-notch so I later hired Ray to install some outdoor lights and a programmable switch for better security. Again the work was great. I will hire Ray (C&S) to do any future electrical work and recommend him highly.

Back story:
I am one of those do-it-yourself type of guys and capable of performing minor household repairs. My kitchen had been remodeled before I purchased it a few years ago. The kitchen was definitely not being utilized to its full potential because I was single and preferred dining out rather than cooking for one. Recently, my life was blessed because my beautiful long distance girlfriend agreed to move in with me.
Present:
My girlfriend loves cooking a wide variety of foods and she is a proud Home Cook. She has participated in several food competitions, including the World Food Championships.
The kitchen is now constantly being used to test new recipes and requires the use of multiple kitchen appliances, often simultaneously.
Problem:
The extra electrical demand of all those electrical appliances caused the system to overload and fail. The problem was not just a simple circuit breaker reset or replacement and required the assistance of professional help. A quick search on Angie's List for a local, licensed, and honest Electrician turned up C & S Electric Company.
First Impression:
Ray (from C&S Electric Company) showed up promptly at the agreed time and the first thing I noticed was his work truck. It was clean and organized. Immediately, that told me that Ray was a person who takes pride in his equipment. Ray's clothing was also clean and neat in appearance.
Diagnosis:
Ray patiently listened carefully to my explanation of the electrical issues and then proceeded to perform a diagnostic check at the electrical panel. He also went up in the attic to check the actual wiring.
Issues:
Ray immediately discovered that the newer heavy duty combination microwave office/ventilation was not on a dedicated circuit. He also found wiring connections that were not up to code. I had forgotten that when I originally purchased the house, the inspector had noted the wiring was not to code, along with some other major (non-electrical) issues of the house. At that time, those other issues were resolved and I had planned to take care of the wiring at a later time.
Solution:
To minimize any further kitchen electrical issues, Ray suggested that that the house required a dedicated circuit on the electrical panel specifically for the microwave, add another dedicated circuit for the bedroom ceiling fans and attic exhaust fan that were not wired correctly and also add the proper junction boxes that were missing.
Cost:
As I was listening to Ray's solution, I was mentally adding up that this job was going to be very expensive. Imagine my delight when Ray quoted me a fee significantly less than expected. Ray conveniently provided several options as to available days and times to complete the project.
Day of repair:
Ray showed up promptly at the appointed time with the necessary parts and quickly starting work. He worked efficiently and was done within a few hours. In the past, having dealt with unscrupulous people, Ray's courtesy and professionalism was a welcome relief!
I highly recommend Ray for any of your electrical needs.
