Requested an estimate to install a generator. Person came out but never rang the doorbell and supposedly got the information they needed. Waited two weeks for the estimate and checked in several times and was told it was on its way. Called today and was told it was on its way again and was treated rudely as if I were bothering them by asking. They obviously have more business than they can handle and their customer service is lacking.

I solicited several bids for replacement of my two ac units at our home.
Initially I was only going to do 3, but pricing was ridiculously varied among the vendors.
The variance being 200 percent!!! which is totally ludicrous in my opinion.
I contacted Cruz AC and Electric a local vendor here in Humble.
They sent out this fella named Travis.
Looks like ZZ Tops younger brother.
This man was patient, listened to my needs, and most importantly, did NOT try to up-sell or get me to purchase something I did not need.
In fact his recommendations saved me money.
He stayed as long as it took, there was no rush, and it was because of this man that I purchased two units from Cruz.
He represented the company in a concise and professional manner.
Its obvious that he was not a polished salesman but a technician that was well qualified and a thorough knowledge of the product. I purchased 2 Trane units.
My existing AC's were still working, one was 17 years old still using R22, the other also a Rudd a bit newer.

I would be remiss in not adding a comment on the two young men doing the install. Their names are Mario Reyes and Zack Pantoya. They did and outstanding job on the install. They put tarps all in our home covering the floor as they made numerous trips up and down from the attic.
All debris and mess was cleaned up.
I am a construction professional with over 35 years of experience as an elevator installer-tech, Supt. Project Manager.....

And I can sum up the installation in one word

CRAFTSMANLIKE

You want a good install? Hire this company. Even a crappy cheap ac works well with a good install, I put in Trane units. The AC is one half of the equation, the other is the install. They did it right.
Feel free to contact me if any questions.

I called this company out in order to have them unclog my a/c unit due to the overflow valve discharging water. I was told the service charge was $85. Travis was the tech who came out to the house. He spent 10 minutes in the attic, went to his van, and immediately returned with a bill for over $300. I asked if he normally lets his customers know what the ""issue"" is before ""fixing"" and he stated ""well, I (and started to shudder)..."" He also stated the service charge cannot be applied to the bill. Anyways, Travis claimed to have tightened a few loose pieces and charged me a lot of money before I approved the work. He left insulation all over the house and did not clean up after/ during his visit. I will never call this company out to my residence again-they have a bait and switch operation.

Angel was the electrician working at my house. My house is owned by a trust technically so the trust handles all the repairs and maintenance. Angel was very honest and let me and the trust know that the general contractor's who showed up while he was there had several things on their list that the trust had already approved and paid a deposit on Cruz Air & Electric doing. He could have kept his mouth shut, let the other guy do the work on his time with his materials and got paid for nothing. In today's world, honesty and integrity is not near as common as it should be!

I have had a service contract with the business for my standby generator for a few years. To help insure the generator works if the power goes out, they come out twice per year and perform preventive maintenance on the generator. At a time between service calls I noticed the generator would not start for its weekly test run. I contacted Cruz Air & Electric and asked them to come out and service the generator.

After the technician had completed his work I was advised the fee would be $230.00 for a service call, plus $15.00 to replace a battery terminal. I offered to pay this fee immediately with a credit card as I was told earlier that day by an employee at Cruz Electric the technician had a device in his truck that would enable him to swipe a credit card. The technician stated I was misinformed and that he did not have a device to swipe a credit card. He stated not to worry, and the office would call me next week to ask for a credit card number.

Two or three business days later I had not heard from Cruz Electric and wanted to call them to make sure they were paid for their work. I was told by an employee at Cruz Air & Electric they had not received an invoice from the technician and they would call me later that week. I received a call later that week and the amount was close to $100.00 more than what the technician said it would be.

Horrible experience. Heating issue was misdiagnosed. Bought parts that we did not need, broke the igniter while making the repair and took 3 weeks to get a part that was available thru Google overnight. All during the three week cold snap in 2017. I will never let them in my home again.

I contacted Cruz Air approximately four times in the past and they weren't able to address my concerns about a leak in the attic that resulted in a through and through leak in the second floor ceiling which I had to get repaired which was expensive because of the extensiveness because of the damaged layers of wood and drywall. They billed me every visit and never repaired the leak which turned out to be pipes not making a tight connection (as reported by my handyman). Cruz Air failed to see the problem and lied and defrauded me and never felt the need to return any of my money. Their service techs are dishonest and lack real knowledge necessary in their industry. Beware.
