Recommended Customer Reviews

Recently used them for some work around the house and install light fixtures. They did a great job quoted reasonable prices with a breakdown of all things they will be installing and itemized cost.

I was in desperate need of an HONEST, reliable licensed electrician. I checked out the reviews on Yelp and decided to give Cross Electrical a call. I explained the circumstances and the trouble shooting I had performed. Doug said I had done everthing he would have recommended to me. He said he would be here in twenty minutes and he was. A new GFI outlet was needed. He is very friendly and didn't try to tell me that my house needed rewiring, which is usually what the crooks do. I will definitely call on Doug for all my future electrical jobs.

I was doing my house remodeling and they are really helpful in every single aspects.

I really enjoyed having Cross upgrade my panel and add a light and several outlets. The only guy out of five other bids that was honest and up front about what it would cost. Plus when PG&E came out to inspect the job a few days before and reported that the new box would need a 3' move - something Cross never encountered - they split the extra costs w me. Plus I received a 5% discount for cash payment. Very trustworthy. That's most important.

Our family had an issue with our dishwasher not working. It hasn't worked for well over a year and we never looked into it until I ran into a couple other odd electrical issues in the home.
The dishwasher didn't work, we had an outlet only putting out 30V and we had a breaker in the garage that would not stay on or even turn on.
At first my mother called another electric company.
This other electric company was going to (after some time investigating):
Run new power wiring from the breaker to the dishwasher, bypassing the wall switch that turns it on/off.
Replace the breaker and all of the circuits.
Relocate the breaker box and install a firewall, said it was not ""up to code"" etc.
They even pressured her into locking an appt for the next morning immediately.
Their initial quote was $6500 but since she agreed now they took off $1500 so the total for that work would be $5000.
After some discussion between her and I it was decided to cancel and get other quotes.
My mother found Cross online, called them, was really impressed with the family type company and very friendly staff. An appt was made and a technician was sent out.
It was great that my mother received updates on the technicians whereabouts and timing. He was right on time, friendly, courteous and my mother was very pleased with him (so far).
The technician didn't have to be in the house very long. After speaking to my mother and learning about her concerns it was a short time until he went right to the wall switch that controlled power to the washer. He immediately saw what the issue was and showed my mother the small jumper tab behind the switches and how it was never cut (father probably replaced it a while back). Since there was 120V coming in from multiple places the breaker was being overloaded and tripping.
He cut the tab, turned the breaker on and all was well. That also fixed the outlet with 30V since for some odd reason the living room lighting outlet and the dishwasher are on the same line. He stayed to address any of her other concerns, did some final tests and headed out.
Cross's total charges = $100
Basically they saved us more than $4800.
This company is going on my list (the good list). . .
Thank you!

Was in need of an Electrician and checked Yelp and found the perfect ratings for Cross Electrical.
Gave them a call and Kathy answered all my questions in regular speak and was just wonderful to talk to. I forgot the persons name but the electrician came out, friendly as can be, fixed the problem and eased my mind.
Great Customer Service is hard to find these days and when you do experience it, you want to keep that relationship for life. I will definitely be recommending Cross to all my family and friends.
A+

WOW! Easily the very best in the far west! I decided to share my experience with the YELP community.
Cross Electrical was highly recommended, so I checked them out by reading the reviews on Yelp. I was a little skeptical because I had never seen reviews like theirs on Yelp for anyone. I contacted Kathy at Cross Electrical (she is a pleasure to talk with), and made an appointment for Doug to come out and review my problem (I had a minor problem for the past four years, which had suddenly become a major problem).
Doug arrived earlier than I expected, listened quietly while I explained the problem, and then fixed everything in approximately 30 minutes. I was impressed.
Cross Electrical is a very prof\essional company and should be considered for any electrical problems.

These guys are very honest and professional.
I called them because a few electrical sockets in my house stopped working all of a sudden last week. The person on the phone. (Cathy was her name I think), asked me about the problem. She said she will help me trouble shoot - asked me to reset my GFI switch, then walked me through the tripped circuit breaker. Then told me the most likely cause could have been a space heater (and indeed it was a week ago, when I had plugged in a space heater in the garage).
The best part is that she said the charge would be zero. This was honest. She could have send some one over, and charged me just for showing up. That told me they are an honest business. I decided I had to pay back in some kind, and asked her if they would do some minor repair work. She said yes, they can charge hourly and fix it. The hourly charges quoted were reasonable. So I asked for that service.
Doug showed up on the time promised. Was very courteous and professional. I had a couple sockets that were stock, one bulb that was fused in place, and I wanted to get a couple sockets replaced with modern motion detection. I also wanted to get a couple smoke detector/Carbon monoxide alarms done. It was fast and painless. I had spare parts that I had purchased from Home Depot. But I forgot the face plates for a couple switches. He was nice enough to bring it from his own truck supply (and did not charge me for it).
These guys are very honest and professional. I highly recommend them.
Btw, I have never written a yelp review in the past, but their honest behavior is what compelled me to setup this new account and write this review. Hope you find it useful.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Cathy was very friendly and professional when I spoke to her on the phone. Doug was a real gentleman. He knew what he was doing and got the job done quickly.
I am going to HIGHLY recommend Cross Electrical Inc. to everyone I know... In the area, of course!
Thank you, again for a wonderful experience!

Seriously they deserve 5 stars. They are very courteous and nice to deal with.
So I had an issue with my microwave and refrigerator being on the same circuit breaker and the breaker kept on tripping. I called Cross Electrical and Kathy picked up the phone and gave me some good advise and even tried to save me money by giving me tips on what I can do without Doug needing to come over. Anyways I still asked for Doug to come and take a look as I was worried.
Doug came promptly at the appt time, never met any contractor who was so gentle and nice to work with. Anyways he came and checked a few things electrically and gave me some suggestions on what to do to have the appliances on different circuit breakers. He did not take a single penny for giving all those advises and suggestions. He could have easily feigned to do something on the breaker and fuse box and something else and I would have paid since I would not have known any better. But he was honest and that is what I appreciated a lot. He was not like the other electrician (see my other reviews) who came and just turned on the reset button and I had to pay him 250 bucks for that! So there are good guys like Doug and Kathy.
Next time I have an electrical need, I will call them as they are an honest couple.
