We had nine recessed lights installed and a ceiling fan moved in our living room. Due to communication problem on both our parts, they cut the holes for the recessed lights in the wrong places on the ceiling. To James' defense he was very willing to correct the error and make it right, including discounting the fee since it would cost more to get the drywall repaired. Overall the work was good and expedient and finished within a day, including having to redo the holes (basically starting over).

He is extremely knowledgeable and knew how to fix the wire panels in a short amount of time. I got Cox Electric recommendation from my brother-in-law who used James and Cox Electric in the past. I spoke with James about some of my electrical needs on a house I own in Austin and we scheduled an appointment a few days later. The needs included GFCI plugs to be installed in five locations. I live in Seattle and own this home remotely so it can be really tricky dealing with residential needs being an owner far away. He sent Doug out who patiently discussed with me what my real needs were: two GFCIs. Per my request, he also check a few smoke alarms and my rain sensor in the backyard. Where a lot of electricians would have charged me for the five GFCI plugs that I thought I needed, Doug was very honest and forthright in telling me that three out of the five were actually connected to other GFCIs in the area and therefore didn't need replacing. I appreciate the work that Doug did and really appreciate the honesty and fair price. Thank you James and Doug for such fine work!! I will use you again and will be sure to recommend you to others!!

Cox Electric has installed additional outlets and switches in my kitchen so that I could add under cabinet mounted lighting. They also added everything that was needed for me to mount a light over my sink. Their work was extremely well done and I could not be more pleased.

I originally found them when Suddenlink told me it was not possible to put a cable outlet on a wall on my second story master bedroom. Cox came out and had it done in 15 minutes - NO JOKE!!

Their pricing is extremely affordable and competative. I've had both James and Doug do work at my house and they were both professional, courteous and did great work.

I'd recommend Cox Electric for anything you need done at your home and business...even if others tell you it's impossible!

I have used Cox electric 3 times in the past few years for all sorts of electrical needs in my house, from hanging chandeliers to dimmers to installing flood lights. James and Doug have always been extremely professional, courteous and I've never had an issue afterwards with malfunction, like I had previously experienced moving into my house. They also have always come to my house within a few days of my phone call, so I don't have to wait weeks and weeks, which is great! Their prices are completely reasonable and worth every penny. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I had never needed an electrician before, so I started calling businesses in the phonebook. The first one was rude and said they were too busy to help. Cox Electric was next, and they were very friendly and came out to give me a free estimate (installing new lights and ceiling fan). James (the owner) was very easy-going and did a great job explaining the various options available to me. While I didn't get a second opinion, I felt his prices were very reasonable and I asked him to do the work. James and his assistant arrived on time and did the work VERY quickly. The cleaned up and were gone in less than 3.5 hours.

I definitely recommend Cox Electric and would certainly use them again on future work.

This was the most affordable service we could find. They arrived right on time, within an hour of calling them! Also, we needed them for a possible repair that the inspector had noticed when we were selling our house; it turned out the inspector was wrong and the electrician from Cox Electric didn't even charge us anything! He drove out here and ended up just writing us an expert opinion for free. Couldn't be happier.
