James came out today and replaced our outdated 1960's main electric panel. He does Top quality work! I'm 110% pleased with James's work. Very professional guy that does an outstanding job. While he was there I went ahead and got an estimate on the next job I have for him. He is my go-to guy from now on.

For the life of us we couldn't figure out why our electrical outlets on our kitchen island weren't
working. I called Cox electric. The gentleman I spoke to patiently listened to me and our problem, asked appropriate questions and then confidently encouraged me to check again for an outlet in the kitchen with a reset button. He then said he'd be happy to come out and take a look, but there'd be a service fee. He emphasized his desire to save us the cost and kindly, respectfully nudged me to take a second look for the reset outlet. Low and behold, hidden behind a picture frame was the very outlet he instructed me to search for. What a Godsend. Can't thank Cox electric enough for taking the time to help us resolve the issue over the phone. Cox Electric has incredibly confidant employees with excellent communication skills, who are patient and have great customer service. God Bless them.

Cox I hired Cox Electric to fix items found during the inspection of an old house I bought.
The washer and dryer were not hooked up by the movers because the dryer cord did not match the outlet. Cox replaced the cord and reminded me that someone had to attach the dryer exhaust hose. He caught me off guard because the washer and dryer are in a tight space and I knew nobody could not get to the dryer without moving the washer. It would have been so easy to attach the exhaust hose while he was working there. I did not ask, I just assumed he would do that. On top of that the water to the washer was not turned on. I paid Cox $275.00 to install 3 nest smoke detectors but they never got connected to my phone which needs to be done prior to attaching them to the ceiling. Today I had to pay someone else to make both work.

We have used Cox Electric a few times and the performance and reliability of service that James offers is outstanding. James is consistantly ON TIME and straightforward in approach, he eliminates all the shadiness that skilled tradesmen are often plagued with. His genuine and straightforward nature is also reflected by his billing and while he likely isn't the least expensive, is certainly competitive and will get the job done correctly. Tradesmen with this level of respectability are few and far between and if we could give a six star review, would be glad to do so for Cox Electric.

The storms broke my poorly installed riser that brings power to my whole hose. Of course this happens on a Saturday, I Called a couple of companies and everyone said Monday or middle of next week. Cox spoke with me explained to me how I needed to contact the provider so they would disconnect power to my house and then call him back. Well the provider gave me a maybe we will maybe we won't it might be next week before we can disconnect. This is pretty serious we are talking about the high voltage wires to my whole house loose. Anyway they came out and disconnected late in the afternoon of course and the owner of Cox came out and got us repaired and even stayed late. I didn't feel like he charged me some astronomical amount for such great service. If you need an electrician this is the company to call.

After waiting two weeks for another electrician to ""try to get by"", I called Cox Electric on a Thursday afternoon. James Cox answered and said he could come by Friday to look at the project. Not only did he keep the appointment, he even offered to come earlier. I showed him the job, and Monday I received an itemized bid via email. I approved it instantly and he came out Wednesday with two workers who finished the agreed-upon work in a day. I was very pleased at how responsive and quick Cox Electric was in getting my job done on time. I have already contracted them for another job in a few months.

I lost electric service to my bathroom and called Cox Electric after reading other reviews. I was informed about their charges upfront. I called in the morning and had my service quickly restored that afternoon at the minimum charge. He was very knowledgeable immediately found the problem.
