Same problem as with many other reviewers here
They were dispatched by Old Republic
Came out. Collected the service call fee, never to be seen or heard from again
Multiple calls made from the home warranty plan resulted in no answer
We have since reported them to our Home protection plan contracting dept In an effort to cancel their contract

I have never had such bad service as I have with this company. I had a couple of electrical switches I needed replaced and was told they had to be ordered. After a couple of weeks with no call back I attempted to reach them by phone. No one ever answers and when you leave a message no one returns the call. Finally I got a message saying when the parts got in they would call me. It's been 6 weeks and no word. I must have left 5 messages to no avail. I have called but all you get is an answering machine. I am wondering if this company is still in business. I finally gave up and got another electrician with thumbtack. One thing I must say is the electrician Dave graham is wonderful but you can't reach him.

Mistreated in my own home.
Set an appointment, given 10-1pm appt the following day. At 12pm, no word from tech. Called the appointment line (regular cell, not a business line) and as I was asking what time the tech was going to be arriving as it was nearing 1pm, the phone rep interrupted me to say that the arrival is a 3hr window. and work may take up to 3 hours after arrival. I asked for clarification as I was having trouble understanding this and she just repeated the same thing over and over as if that would explain the words. I told her she was being extremely rude by the tone of voice she used and talking over me. She replied that she says this 20x a day and she's sure she explained this to me but that tech is 5min away as she had just text him. Chalk it up to a misunderstanding on my behalf and thanked her anyways. The tech arrives, show him to the bathroom and as I'm explaining the problem, he interrupts me, says that he understands there was a problem w the appointment setter. I tell him she was rude and disrespectful. We were in a small bathroom, I inside and he at the door. He is a tall 6ft+ wide man and he shifts his whole body diagonally across the door frame that completely blocked exit or entrance. He asks how. I say she talked over me and had attitude. He says defiantly, ""oh yeah? Well I'm the owner of the company and in the 26years she's been working I've never had a complaint."" All while raising his voice and literally barracading me inside the bathroom. I felt threatened in my own home by this man that had no right to impose his will in my home. I had to answer his questions, defend my conversation w his appt setter (26years? Probably his wife) and was finally 'granted' an exit from my own bathroom when he was done talking and finally lifted his body from the door frame. Intimdiation tactics, disrespect, and overall unprofessionalism from this pair. Never been intimidated in my own home and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Countryside Electric is absolutely the BEST electrical company in Southern California. I have had many companies service my home and no one compares to the professional and friendly service of Countryside Electric. Countryside has great follow up, on time service, willing to explain what is going on and just plain NICE. I recommend Countryside Electric 100%. American Home Shield tried sending another company that was horrible on a past service call so we opted to pay more and ""hope"" AHS refunds us as they promised. But, if AHS does not come through, we still had great service from Countryside Electric.

Stop me if you've heard this one.
Put a request in through AHS (warranty for my home). I called AHS a few days later and advised me that Countryside ""tried"" to contact me the following day after my request which was a lie. I was expecting their phone call. About an hour after hanging up I get a call from Countryside. Gentleman came and asses the problem and charges me the $75 fee. Advised me that he needs to put in a job request. A week has gone by and they refuse to return my calls. I called AHS and they said no job request has been submitted.
Terrible service.

Edit: AHS was able to get a hold of countryside. Only to find out that the work is not covered under warranty. It was not ""normal wear and tear"". Guess who will not be renewing his warranty... Many people I'm sure, but me as well.

Countryside Electric was sent to my house by my home warranty provider. After saying he was unable to complete the job without having approval from my home warranty company, I never heard back from him. I called Countryside and left messages several times with no response. I finally called my home warranty provider almost a week later and they stated Countryside never reported that they came to my home. My home warranty provider then called Countryside and also recieved no answer, so a message was left.
The next day Countryside contacted my home warranty provider and stated they told me upon leaving my home that my electrical was improperly installed and that they, Countryside, informed me that it was not covered. FALSE FALSE FALSE. They still have not spoken to me.
This company apparently has a track record of doing this. The only reason for the star is because its required by yelp.

I find it funny that the only other review here is the exact scenario I experienced. Countryside Electric was also sent to my home by AHS. The electrician came out once, said he needed to get approval on parts and I never heard from them again! I tried calling them and so did AHS. Never even got a reason why they didn't come back. Something's fishy!

A Countryside Electric electrician evaluated the job at my home on August 1, 2014. He told me he'd have to get back with me after he researched information on the parts needed to do the job. I have yet to receive a call back. Countryside was sent to me by my home warranty company American Home Shield. I called AHS and told them to send me someone else.

I give CE a single star out of a possible five to show that I am fair-minded. I give them credit, because they did come out the first time. Unfortunately, they didn't have the decency to ever follow up in any way. I didn't even receive a telephone call.
