Recommended Customer Reviews

Edgar responded quickly to my request for the installation of lighting fixtures and outlets. He listened attentively to my needs and took the time to explain what the job entailed. It was clear that he cared about addressing all of my requests and responded positively when I made changes even after the bid was accepted.
The bid was reasonable and Edgar's work was outstanding. He took care with his installations, confirming with me for placement of the fixtures and really listening to how I wanted the job done. I had just had the exterior of my house painted and I greatly appreciate how Edgar was careful not to mess up the new paint job.
I highly recommend Cota Electrics. Working with Edgar was a great experience and I will definitely use Cota Electrics again.

They are very nice guy and very professional. Everything they do is perfect I would recommend them to my friends

Great service and on time. We had an issue for a customer and they helped us right away.
Not only that we continue to use Cota Electric with our customers if we need electricians. I have always been able to schedule with them in a timely manner and the service is always great.
Thank you for your continued professional service.

Cota Electric definitely deserves their 5 star ratings. Edgar responded quickly to my request of replacing a bathroom vanity light and light/fan fixture, providing a fair estimate and scheduling the date and time immediately. Edgar arrived promptly and followed the COVID-19 requirements, wearing a mask and social distancing. Before entering our house he put on coverings on his shoes to keep our floors clean. Edgar replaced both light fixtures quickly and made sure both fixtures worked properly. He made sure all the boxes and packaging were neatly put away before he left. I would recommend Cota Electric to anyone who wants a responsive electrician who is reasonably priced and does an excellent job.

These guys did an amazing job on our upgraded panel.
Gabriella is very organized and she always keep in touch.
Edgar too is very easy to talk too and did the job on time
as what promised. Thank you guys and more power.

I hired Cota to upgrade my old panel with a new one. They synchronized with PG&E and did all the work in 3 days. They did an amazing and spotless job. I don't want to set impossible expectations for others but they were able to get PG&E to cut off power and bring it back on in the same day!

I called and made an appointment for estimate to repair a doorbell that my worker broke. These guys were responsive and helped me get a quote. There was a small issue with scheduling and Edgar took care of it right away like a professional gave a discount for the inconvenience I'm happy.

Overall, 4.5 out 5..Since I'm having some insulation done this year, I decided on having my old fluorescent lights (6ft and 4ft respectfully) taken out and replaced with some LEDs. Honestly I was going to have another company that I saw on Facebook advertise try and give me the first bid, but since it was a holiday week, they didn't get back to me until I messaged them here on yelp. By then, Cota electric actually was first to respond to my general inquiry here on yelp (1st time doing a group call/message to local electricians). Anyways, the first messages about what needed to be done and when can a guy do an estimate was extremely easy. The day of the estimate is where I have to knock them alittle because the window that they originally gave me was roughly a 11am-1pm window and when that came and gone, I had my mom call them first and no one picked up let alone called back. By then, it was roughly 1:30 and I decided to message them here on yelp again and I got a fairly quick response stating that they had an emergency and if I wanted the estimate it would be now a 4-6 pm slot..of coarse I was alittle annoyed since they didn't contact me and now the day was lost due to waiting. Hope next time, they learn from this. As for the estimate, it came the next day and it was pretty cheap imo because I wasn't sure the guy who did the estimate understand everything that I wanted. And when I inquired about the estimate, he did miss the possible electrical socket, it was a minor thing thankfully. The day of the installation, I got home early and messaged them that they could come to the house early and the coordinator messaged me back that she would and the crew showed up around 10:15am instead of the original 11am time slot. The lights took about alittle less than 2hrs to take out and install the new ones in the attic..as for the electrical socket. A quick inspection to see if the wires were alive and a call to the boss on the pricing for that and I agreed to it. So overall, take down and new lights installed with an additional electrical socket cost me $265 for everything and that is with a slight discount due to them being so late. The crew itself was very friendly and seemed to worked very fast and efficient. In the end, I would recommend them and I may have them do future projects if something arises.

I needed a a couple outlets to be upgraded to three prong, and a new dedicated outlet with upgrades to the main panel in a hurry. I contacted Cota Electric and they had Jairh come out and give me a quote the next day. He advised on how to the the job up to code and quickly sent over the official quote, which was much more reasonable than others I received. He returned to do the work promptly. From the time I first contacted them until the work was completed was just a few days. Both the woman in the office and Jairh were both very friendly and quick to respond. Work was completed quickly, was done well, and all was cleaned up before finishing up. I was very satisfied with the whole process and am happy to have a new go to electrician for all the issues that come up with old houses.

Both Edgar and Gabriela were so helpful in getting my chandelier replaced. I had called a few other electricians in the area and they didn't want to replace the chandelier (I guess it's a daunting task). Edgar came and replaced the chandelier no issues at all. He was very professional, super helpful and extremely knowledgeable in this field. Thank you Edgar!
