Recommended Customer Reviews

I am amazed that Corley was able to get my issues resolved today within just a few hours of making a call to them. It is all thanks to their Hero Perry. He was very friendly and was able to get my tankless water heater operational within a few minutes. He also detected a gas leak that I had and then helped me troubleshoot some stopped up and leaking plumbing in my bath. I will definitely call him again if I need something. 10 out of 10 in my book.

In the many years that we have used Corley, we have never been disappointed. They always arrive on time, are respectful and considerate of our home and thorough in their work. If I had any complaints it would be that they are a bit expensive but they also have been open to negotiation. We choose Corley for all of our home's major repairs. We especially appreciate their service veteran's perks.

Received a quote from Corley Plumbing for a 22 kW emergency Generac generator installation, the quote was not broken down in detail. Long short, I received a quote from Five Star here in Greenville, for close to $7,500 less, plus an upgraded (24kW) generator.
I did not find Corley's service men knowledgeable about zoning
nor capacity requirements.
Since the Corley's sold out, the firm went to hell. Just trying to profit from folks that do not know any better. Then they drive around in Mercedes Benz vans, and advertise on every local TV station, who is paying for all of that!
For me Corley, perhaps once, reputable, has become rip off central.

Reading Mitzi's response makes me even more aware of the need for changes at the new Corley. Also important not to fix what was not broken. I'm grateful there are other heating and air options.

I'm here to contribute to the bad reviews, reluctantly and disappointingly. Spent almost 5 figures with this company to replace my plumbing. I have 1 bathroom, 1 bathtub and 2 sinks in my home. After Corley did a ""complete repipe,"" when my washer is going, I can't flush the toilet (it imitates a clog with an abrupt stop, then starts gurgling minutes later), the tub fills up with water that has a thin orange film on top (assuming rust), and the sink in the bathroom gurgles. I also had to fetch my paperwork myself, as I was sent absolutely nothing and told nothing after the job was ""completed"". I've had to clean my walls and floors from front door to bathroom several times now after these plumbers, and as a single mom in the middle of a complete renovation, that should be considered by customer service. It's extremely inconvenient, and with a 4 year old and a bathtub that's frankly out of service, I'm left with not only a LOT of money wasted, but a genuine disappointment and lack in trust and reliability for this company. A ""lifetime warranty"" is only good for an actual good job. I guess that's where they get ya. They quoted me 5 figures for an electrical job and have sent me countless ""percentage off"" and ""free inspection"" texts ever since I haven't agreed to that quote. It just feels like the ultimate scam at this point and I can't feel more taken advantage of.
Update , they came out Saturday at 4 pm, and found the worst situation possible. Presented me with over 3k more just to cleanout the drain, rip up my front walkway with no repairs, and THEN will provide another quote for what to do next. At 8pm on a Saturday night, I was left with a child and 2 pets, no bathroom at all, no washer or kitchen sink, a house full of sewage from the front door to the toilet because these guys don't care about actually wearing the foot caps in your home after walking all over fecal matter in your crawlspace, and a 4k quote just to empty my drains. The quote says ""quantity of 6"" for drain clean out, charging me 600+ , six times. This should honestly be criminal, and Corley's 100% guarantee of making sure you aren't left without a bathroom has been proven false in my home.

Why you should not consider Corley: Corley has a policy of only giving a price for a job and not breaking out parts or labor. In my case, since I'd received two estimates from other providers, it appears Corley came in between 35-40% higher than the average of the two other estimates.
So what does that mean? It means (at least for a water heater replacement) Corley will likely mark-up their cost of the water heater nearly 100% before bringing it to you. They will then approximately double that mark-up for the labor. I realize the math [here] is crude and likely filled with error, but we're working with what we have .. which is nothing, because that's what Corley gave us.
As a customer, you have a right to be quoted parts and labor. The reason Corley won't do this is because they don't want you price shopping to get a better deal. If they are trying to sell you ""trust"" to justify why you should ""feel"" you're somehow getting a better job by spending more, then you're just paying someone's 'bonus' over at Corley.
You can do better. Corley's refusal to break out parts and labor should be a red flag to NOT use them, in my opinion. If you can't competitively shop, you can't benefit from the best combination of price and service. In my view, I would NEVER use Corley because of their policy of refusing to tell you exactly what it is you're paying for.

wanted me to pay like 50-75$ just for them to come out and give an estimate lol yeah right. say that came out and wanted doublle what it costs and i say no.... oh well they got their 50-75$

If there were negative Stars, I would give the maximum negative. A mainten Client for years. My air stopped cooling. I called to schedule an appointment. They asked the age of the unit and when I said 16 years, they did not even send a diagnostic tech. They sent a salesman to quote a completely new system. I kept saying Heat was fine when we last used and cooling just suddenly stopped. Long story short I ordered a new system because I was caught off guard. Next day I called a 5 star rated company near me. Bailey Heating and Air in Simpsonvill SC. In 15 min the Technician told me the problem was the outside capacitor was out. replaced it and instead of $14,000 plus cost me $269.

I was a member of their ""Service Partner Plan"" for a little over a year after having an emergency visit in 2021 to unclog my HVAC drain line ($600). Over the course of the year I had a plumber visit from Corley's, do some maintenance on my water heater and quote me nearly $400 to replace the lines on my washer and three toilets. I did not go for that.. I expected maintenance to be completed on the HVAC prior to the summer season. Never received the call for that at all and figured they were more than likely busy. Over this past weekend my aircon in the attic started leaking, it soaked a portion of my ceiling upstairs. I went into the attic and rigged up a aluminum pan to push the water into the overflow. I went to Corley's website the next morning and scheduled an appointment for the earliest available (7/15). A couple of hours after scheduling I received a call from the office, they rescheduled my appointment ""due to emergencies"" to the 20th. I don't know exactly how my issue wasn't considered an emergency with the threat of water destroying my ceiling, but did not feel the need to argue. I called a different company Tuesday. They came today (Thursday) and repaired (Drain line on AC clogged..), and took steps to install vents for prevention ($219 TOTAL). Today's fee told me just how much I overpaid for last years service. I feel like this could have been taken care of with preventative maintenance which I was paying for.. or so I thought. I called Corley and cancelled the appointment for 7/20 and cancelled my service plan. Neither rep asked why, I guess they don't care. Neither do I in that case.
TLDR: The service guys are professional, Corley's is overpriced and they don't seem to give a crap whether they have your business or not.

I contacted Corley about a leak. I was quoted a price to come out and assess. When he ""found"" the leak, he claimed it was from a seal around the tub. He repaired the seal and said he would not charge for the repair. Then my spouse was given a $400.00 bill. I have asked several times for the breakdown of how we came to be charged $400 so I can file on my insurance. I have yet to receive a breakdown or the call back from management I asked for. Everytime I asked, I just get a receipt for $400.00. To make matters worse, the next week we had the same leak. Turns out the seal he ""fixed"" was never the problem. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
