Cooper Mechanical has been a top choice for commercial and residential HVAC services on the Grand Strand since 1987. The Cooper family was not new to the industry; they were already well-known in the community.
From the very beginning, Cooper's goal has been to deliver exceptional service, which involves employing highly trained staff and utilizing the latest technology. For more than twenty-five years, we have kept pace with evolving technology to deliver the best service possible to our clients.
We at Cooper Mechanical strive to deliver the highest level of service and customer satisfaction.
The Cooper family’s roots trace back to the 1930s in Myrtle Beach, where they worked as building contractors and furniture upholsterers. With a desire to run his own company and carry on the family tradition, Glenn H. Cooper launched Cooper Mechanical in 1987. He aimed to bring a level of service and professionalism to the Grand Strand that was previously unseen in the area.

I'm just glad the air is working. Not too sure if it's the company or more so the service tech we were provided. Staying in a 6000 a week condo in Myrtle Beach u definitely don't want ac problems. But this tech observed us returning from the beach a family of 12. And couldn't understand having to wait for ppl to change to gain access to 1 particular bedroom. Also almost lost his mind bc we had the sliding door open. Saying the door was connected to the system and would shut the ac off. Which upon talking to owner is not even Factual. I think when he said if I want if fixed that got me. Bc isn't this your job sir. What's the rush. Either way horrible experience hope you guys don't get this same tech?it's a shame ppl really hate their jobs. Best advice quit sir bc u are ruining the history this has w the grand strip. Definitely called and complained. Everyone can have a bad day but don't u dare ruin any one else's bc of yours. Praying for that man and his attitude.
I purchased a fan and it came as 3 separate boxes. I called and they were able to make an appointment with me within a couple of days to install it, which I thought was very quick. Mike and Dan were professional, prompt and reliable as well as informative and nice. The installation was a breeze - thank you
Very prompt and professional. Followed Covid-19 precautions. Very accommodating and explained the repairs needed in detail. Danny and Mike are great! Highly recommend them! We will use this company again!
I got my new Heating & Air Conditioning put in on 3/05/2019 they did a Professional job... great guys great job
I needed maintenance for my AC unit. They contacted me early in the morning to confirm the appointment (approximately 8:15 am) the day after I had reached out to them. Francisco arrived about 20 minutes after speaking to me on the phone.
I don't know too much about how AC units work: I DO know, however, that my AC hadn't been working, and Francisco got it fixed. He was also extremely chipper and outgoing throughout the repair process, which is ultimately the reason I'm writing this review. He should be commended for his friendliness, especially since his job doesn't necessarily seem to require being upbeat and affable.
We used them for a new heat pump. Their price was reasonable, they lowered their price when I negotiated with them. The salesman came out to our house within the hour, while another company never returned my call. They installed the system in the next 2 days and did a good job. A supervisor came out right before the installation was done to see if I was happy with it and he inspected their work.
The service was outstanding. The staff person who did the work was highly professional, knowledgeable of all aspects in reference to Heating/AC, and more than thoroughly reviewed what he did and any potential future issues, but when done gave me the assurance that the system was running properly. That was comforting in reference to my living situation.
Pricing for the biannual service check was very fair. Staff who I spoke to arrange service call were also highly professional and able to schedule service call to accommodate my schedule.
Bottom line, highly and confidentially can recommend using Cooper Mechanical to service your Heating/AC system.
Rob is very knowledgeable and walks you through the entire process. Which is why I was surprised that our phone quote differed of that from the actual contract (through email) which was $2000 more!! When confronted, Rob was kind enough to tell us that he mumbles (again a surprise to me, because as everyone mentioned, including ourselves, he was clear and walk you through the process and explained in great detail what needed to be done). When that didn't work, his story had a twist...maybe we heard him incorrectly. I don't know about you folks out there, but I know I listen intently when a large cost or replacement is required for something that I own. Rob misquoted and has hidden what he did, rather than being truthful with us. While I'm sure they did a great job and fixed what needed to be done in our vacation home, it's a shame that he treated us as if he had no idea what we were talking about. We had no choice but to get the HVAC replaced with Cooper Mechanical Service, but I plan to never use their services again on just sheer principle. I really hope you feel that the extra $2000 was worth it and that you continue to sleep at night.
