Cool Ray and BrightBox we have used many times. We bought a new AC from them. We had our electrical done through them. We had our insulation replaced through them. Their service is always top notch and if an issue arrises they do stand behind their products because they have repaired and/or redone work if we didnt think it was satisfactory. All with a kind and professional response.

Don't choose if you are seeking a new unit. I paid 10,000 for a unit
with a one year maintenance agreement but I cannot get this company to live up to the contract. They put you on schedule and you wait all day but no one comes. This has happened two times. I have to get on phone to make a call and a particular person at the 470 number is not friendly or helpful. I tell her no has called me as I look at my phone, no missed calls and she refuse to be helpful. I just cannot believe how much work in texting, emailing and calling I have to do in order to get service. Hindsight if only I knew, I would have chosen another company. I will need a second unit soon but pledge to never do business with Coolray again. They take your money but don't live up to their word or contract!

Improper install job. They missed a return for upstairs, air leaking from furnace area, and carbon monoxide leaking from the water heater they were right next to installing. I now have mold growing due to high humidity due to no return. the owner was supposed to call me yesterday (thursday) and now they told me that they would call me on Monday. Meanwhile the mold is growing and humidity is rising. All i hope for now is that they fix their errors and the damage to my house. Hopefully they do. But for now, 1 star is absolutely how i view this company.

Disgusting & despicable ! I called for a Saturday A.M. appointment for 3 A/C units in my house. The clerk seemed to be cordial and professional enough, even asking me to hold while she sought out answers to my questions that she was not sure of. No harm, no foul. The appointment time was to be Saturday, between 8 A.M. and noon. Again, no problem. So there I sit Saturday A.M. at my house doing paperwork for my business, killing time instead of leaving the house and going on a bicycle ride. Nine o'clock, 10, 11, noon, 1 . . . no such number, no such zone. Never got a ""Thanks but no thanks, we can re-schedule, sorry we are late or forgot!"" Nothing, nada, zilch. Not 1 single email, text or even an old fashioned phone call. I will NEVER call Fool-Ray again ! They royally are unprofessional and disorganized. I'm now glad, after reading all the other 1 *'s that I didn't let them work on my A/C equipment. Disgusting.

Long time customer - NO LONGER

Will not return repeated calls to address Cobb County's noted violations on their recently completed HVAC work

However, they have no problem bombarding you with upsell calls

Semi-annual service call morphed into a recommended system replacement
Which was then became an insulation pitch
When installing the HVAC, a breaker box replacement was suggested
That replacement turned into a quote over $11000 to ""bring up to code"" (including detectors in every bedroom as current code???)

String push for $$$ but no reaction requesting follow-up

A CoolRay technician came to service 10 yr old Trane heat pump. He replaced a part for $400. Within several weeks the unit wouldn't cool. CoolRay sent the same technician out who told me he was not sure why one of the wires was fried, but it was going to cost $2100 to fix even though the unit was still under warranty. He said I should consider replacing the unit. CoolRay had sales reps calling me to replace the unit the same afternoon. I decided to get other quotes and an honest company came out and fixed the issue for $500. They told me Trane is solid system and should last for 15 years. They said the technician from CoolRay who had been working on the unit miss wired the unit on the original service call which caused it to short out. They said this was either extreme incompetence or potentially sabotage. I tried to call CoolRay multiple times to speak with a manager and was told each time no one was available and someone would call me back. They never did. Concurrently I had at least three follow up sales calls to sell me another unit and to get feedback on the sales rep. Each time I asked that they call me back to provide feedback on the field tech and that never happened I strongly advised against using this company. They are incompetent and unresponsive and I strongly suspect this was an intentional, shady sales scheme.
