The AC stopped working and we had a hot house at 90° faranheit, with four people and three dogs. We called three times and no Technician could come out until the next afternoon. We got another company to come out or we would not have survived the night. It was an expensive after hours call of over $500 and it was only a temporary fix. We had Cook's come out the next weekend to fix it. We paid $149 ahead of time for the diagnostic. Cook's was four and a half hours late. I called twice to confirm when the technician was coming out since they did not call me. The technician was working in the dark. It turned out that the other company misdiagnosed the problem. However, the technician figured out that it was a wire problem, and fixed it. We are thankful for his expertise and hard work.

Had them come out summer 2023 to a home I just purchased. Wasn't cooling. They told me unit was undersized and needed a new one. The unit is not undersized, had a hole in the evap let the freon out. Called another company next day they replaced the evap core now the unit works perfect. Then after Cooks didnt fix anything, they tried to bill me for a 6 month maintenance plan I never agreed to. Had to involve the bank to fix that issue. Save yourself the headach. Look elsewhere

On Wednesday December 13, 2023 I called Cooks because my 1 1/2 year old Heating & A/C unit would not start or run. A young fellow showed up a little in the afternoon to check my unit out. Although he might have told me but I do not remember as good as I once did but on the paper work he gave me it said the low voltage fuse had blown. He said he replaced and soon started to check for more problems and told me the contacter switch was bad and he had one on the truck for $234.00 minus a 50.00 discount $184.00. He installed the switch through the breaker and snap and sparks flew the one wire on the switch was touching another wire on the controller. He got everything together and the first attempt the unit ran and heated the house without turning off. He packed up his tools and left after I paid for the part of $234.00 which later I looked it up and it was non continued part since March 30. 2016, for $234.00 bucks. So that night the unit came on and off. on and off with no heat so with no heat till Monday I called them and they sent the same fellow and he checked and checked and told me my fan controller was bad $1200.00 to repair this problem. I told him I was on Social Security and could not afford that at the time, I looked up that part and the controller and the fan was $469.00 I just figured I would install it but before leaving he said he had to charge me another $86.00 bucks for Diagnostics and road service as he charged me the same the first trip.so $172.00 and it still does not work plus the age old part he said he installed.This is a very sad scam this company has going lucky the weather is warming up for this old disabled guy on Social Security. Personally I do not think this young fellow had a clue of what he was doing. GEEEEZE he never charged me for the blown fuse!!!! I should have stood over his shoulder the entire time and I am positive it is not the fan or the fan controller!!!
BEWARE this company is too big for it's britches !!!!

we had Cook's come out for are ac replacement. There Tech Elliott was wonderful. He was vary thorough and made sure we were able to properly operate and maintain are new system

Paid for the gold package and called for a service call. I was over charged and my discount was not applied. I called back the next day when I saw my account was charged the wrong amount. I told her my account is showing a pending charge for the wrong amount and she said that she would take care of it. When the charge went through I called again and ask what the process was for refunding my money since all she said was, she would take care of it. Her response was rude and with an attitude like I was wrong for calling back about my money. All she had to do is explain the process of the refund the first time and I wouldn't have had to call back. A customer shouldn't feel like they are wrong for calling about a mistake that the company made. Please work on your customer service.

This company has been reliable, knowledgeable, and transparent - able to find solutions when I wasn't even sure what the problem was. When the cooks cook at Cook's- it's 72 degrees - cuz they're juuust right!

My unit was not working husband called cuz unit is under warranty and they told him it would be 235 .00 just to look at it . They installed the unit and the unit is 2 years old I won't be using cooks again they don't take care of there customers.

They are not called crooks for nothing. They took advantage of a late night fix. I myself will never use this company again.

This is the worst aircondtioner repair company I have ever dealt with. They didn't show up for a scheduled repair appointment which was as scheduled 5 days earlier . They dont care about customers. When I called to ask why they didn't come, they just hung up the phone or send it to a voice mail.
I strongly recommend to anyone who has problem with aircondtioner to consider other providers.
