James S.This company was my service provider for my generator. I was under the impression that they were experts on this type of generator I was wrong. I have two generators in different homes that are working correctly and one for 20 years a 7kw. My 7kw blew up recently from the service of Consumer Electric their excuse that the 7kw is noted for failure more excuses. When asked to certify the damage they referred me to another certified technician. I bought a new larger generator and with their lack of knowledge of installation and hook up to gas it became a guessing issue. The brand new unit was killing the battery and they didn't know the correct wiring. Over $1400 value of incompetence. Stay away from this company and their so called experts research further on your own. The main company doesn't even know whom is certified or not.
Vicki S.consumer electric installed a new EV plug in our garage. fixed, updated our breaker panel and has returned for other repairs. always on time. professional and excellent work. pleasant technicians. best job! grateful
Lore L.This is a really delayed review. I called Consumer Electric in Oct., 2019. Had two guys at the house I was trying to sell, and they promptly found the answer to a problem, replaced outlets with GFI's, etc. The two men really got to work and stayed on it until everything was done. I was a happy lady. Several weeks later, I ran into another problem, one of the guys came out while on the way to another job quote, he discovered an appliance was not plugged in. So kind of him, so pleasant, didn't even send a bill because he caught my problem on the way to the other property. Grateful for the kindness. Have already recommended them to others and plan to call for more work.
Great guys, helped me out of a bind when I needed some new lines run for some shop equipment. Fast and nice to deal with.
Willy L.Ripoff, poor customer service and overall a horrible experience. Worse part is that they could care less. stay away from this company
They billed for an hour-and-a-half worth of work although they actually worked less than an hour. Arguing with the technician was pointless so I paid the extra, unearned $70 just to end the bad experience. I will not use them again and recommend you do not either.
Selwa A.Ok so I got in touch with home advisor and wrongfully thinking I will get a good deal, I ended up with consumer electric. So for ""troubleshooting"" you pay $125 an hour then an extra $45 for God only knows what. It was my fault that I allowed this to happen but come on!! There are limits even for rip offs !!! Regardless of the service, because Chris was a good guy, All I have to say is that If you have money to spare, go for it.
Unethical business. My go-to electrician was booked solid (for good reason) and I saw the phone number to this company on the cover of the local yellow pages. They managed to botch a routine job, charged several hundred dollars because ""the work order estimate had been signed"", and were very combative when we contacted ownership regarding this incident. The only reason they float by is because the hassle of small claims court is more irritating that just choosing not to book them for further work. Save yourself the trouble (and $), call someplace else.
Wonderful company, very efficient, very professional and clean. Gentleman were at my house for three days, they were all quiet, polite, and friendly.
Katrina H.They charged me $348 to look at my circuit panel for 35 seconds to say it was burned beyond repair. He took about 30 minutes to come up with a repair estimate of $3,700. I was able to find delightful licensed electricians to fix the problem for $2,400.
They must have assumed a stupid woman desperate without electricity would pay anything, and they were wrong. Please shop around and compare!
