As a child, I watched my father repair everything around our home. Whenever a toaster, TV, or car was set out for trash, my father would salvage it and restore it. One memorable Christmas, he handmade a Santa Claus in his sleigh, lit up, and displayed it on our roof! He was remarkably skilled and, in my eyes, a genius! I dreamed of being like him, but there was a hurdle—I was a girl! In the 1950s, that posed a problem, so I set aside my dreams and pursued college. After finishing at the top of my class, I joined the corporate world. In my spare time, I developed my skills across various trades. Over thirty years, I completed home improvement jobs of all types and ultimately started my own company—Concierge Renovations.
