My kitchen was done in a week, from completely gutting it out to final install. And in conjunction with other crucial repairs. My kitchen turned out absolutely beautiful. My older home needed some electrical work to get a pair of smart doorbells setup as well as adding an outdoor outlet. Beachy Waves sent out a great electrician to install a new doorbell transformer, set-up the doorbells and add the outlet. A project I had been putting off for months was done in a couple hours. This review has been long overdue for Anael & his team. They did some amazing, clean work on my home which involved placing a new outlet on top of the fireplace and mounted my television safely & securely. They also changed my outlets in the kitchen, bathroom and laundryroom to GFCI compliant ones, changed out my electrical panel and installed and indoor glass pane door for my office/workout room. Re- grouted the kitchen countertops as well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire these professionals ASAP. Friendly, efficient, clean and reliable! Thanks Anael & crew!

We chose to work with Anael for our first floor bathroom remodel because of his great reviews, prompt communication, and highly competitive quote. Overall, we were very happy with the work he and his team did. My husband and I are totally new to remodeling anything, and Anael was helpful with some design-related suggestions as well as practical suggestions. His main contractor, Felix, was so polite and hardworking and always receptive when we asked for something to be done differently or fixed. They did a nice job with the large format tile we chose for the shower as well as our Toto toilet, both of which took some extra effort. It's been a couple months since the project was completed, and everything is holding up well so far, and we're happy with how it turned out.

First, Comstruct deserves the five-star rating because Anael deserves to be recognized for so many things. We hired Comstruct to remodel our kitchen and two bathrooms in our condo, as well as buildout a new alcove in the bathroom for the addition of laundry hookups.

Anael was so easy to work with, flexible, cost-conscious, and most important of all, we felt that we could really trust him (and we are very hesitant about hiring any contractors because of this). He was always responsive via text/phone/email, whether it was about questions about the work, responding to issues dealing with our HOA, or even just for providing updates.

The fact that he is local to Long Beach made it even better. As an example of his responsiveness, we were waiting for our internet service provider to run new lines to our condo unit, as we had to relocate all the internet equipment for the remodel. The window wait times were ridiculous with the internet company, and they had already no-showed for several of their appointments and said they would call prior to coming. Well, when they finally showed up, they gave hardly any lead time and we weren't home, but a quick call to Anael, and he was able to meet the internet company workers faster than we could get there, and ensure they were able to complete the work.

I will also mention Luis, who I think is one of his main sub-contractors that he teams up with, was also great to work with.

Now, if I ever give a review, I will always give complete honesty, including any negative feedback. As cost-conscious as he was, the remodel did go over the original budget and over time. Although this was our first experience with a major remodel, we knew going in that construction projects nearly always go over budget, so this was expected and planned for on our part. Even with the additional costs, all-in, we spent less than the next lowest contractor bid, and most of the change-orders were not anticipated by the other contractors in their bids either (e.g. installation of a new 1"" gas line, adding concrete to level floors, mechanical vents, etc.). As for the time, we anticipated it would take 2-3 weeks longer than planned, but it was closer to 10 weeks longer than the original time line, which was significant. Though, in defense of Comstruct and Anael, most of the additional time was attributed to addressing the need to install mechanical vents in the bathrooms in order to meet code per the city inspectors. Though it sounds simple, this led to other issues due to being in a shared building with limited space, and this required us to hire an engineer to perform calculations to prove to the inspector that the solution they implemented was sound. In any case, could things have been done faster? Maybe. But through all the issues, Anael still kept our budget in mind, and did his best to find solutions that would minimally impact our pocketbook.

There are other very minor things we could talk about here, but in the end, we are very happy with the overall result (you can see the photos!) and our place finally feels like a home we can settle into. We've been back in our home for four weeks now, and everything is working still well. We would definitely bring Anael back for any potential future work here, or elsewhere.

Oh, and as a bonus, the team that helped him to finish all the detail work and cleanup were his parents. They were meticulous, and they were also the nicest and cutest people you'll ever meet. After meeting them, it's no wonder Anael is wonderful person that he is.

Working with Comstruct has restored my faith in contractors! This is what it's supposed to be like. I had a toilet slowly sinking into the floor, most likely due to water slowly rotting the old wood sub floor. So, I was looking for someone to replace the subfloor and redo the floor tile. The first contractor that came over said he wanted to tear the bathroom down to the studs and charge us a small fortune to completely remake the bathroom. Other than the issues i mentioned, the bathroom is fine and in good shape. Never called him back.

When Comstruct had a look, Aneal was totally fine with fixing just what needed to be fixed and not gutting our bathroom! They were great to work with; they arrived when they said they were going to and got the job done in a very reasonable time. The quality of their work is top notch and our bathroom looks better than ever with a new efficient toilet, new sink, and new floor tiling!

I actually have a second bathroom with the exact same problem. So I'll be getting in touch with them soon to work on that project. I recommend them to anyone!

I have used Comstruct for a few projects in the past and most recently had them come back to do another 5 projects around my home. Anael is very professional, communicative and honest. My projects ranged from small electrical upgrades to major bathroom remodels.

I was able to explain my ""vision"" and he knew exactly what I wanted and he even offered alternative ways to save time and money. I have had many bad experiences with contractors but I trust Anael implicitly.

Can't recommend Anael and his guys any more. I used him and his team to fix up my house to get ready to sell so we wouldn't have any issues during inspections later on. They were incredibly responsive and worked hard to make sure everything was addressed. I have an 80-year-old house that people had done some questionable upgrades to over the years, so we had some complications. Even with some of the complications, Anael was able to get the right trades on the job and get everything addressed quickly. They did a very clean job on the inside and outside of my house, garage, and yard. It presented so well, we were able to get 20% above any of the comparable listings in the area. I will recommend Anael to anybody in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area that needs any work done on their house.

I found Anael on Yelp of course. He came out to our place for a consultation, and approached my partner in the garage while my partner was building something. They struck up a little conversation without either Anael or my partner knowing who the other person was. Once Anael finally found the front door, we were all like Ohhh hey I was just talking to you. His pricing came in around the same as another business we were considering, but we ended up going with Anael because the first interaction and his overall pleasantness during the consult. We ended up getting smart recessed lighting in the living room and a ceiling fan in each bed room. It took about a week and including running new electric for the living room, patching, texturing, and repainting the whole ceiling in the Living. Both bedrooms used existing circuitry to the current light switch, but including texturing, running electricity to the light switch, patching, texturing, and painting. We plan to use him for future projects.
