Company Overview

Community Electric Cooperative was founded in 1938 through the collaboration of the Holland Ruritan Club and other local figures to ensure electrical service in Southeastern Virginia's countryside. The late Paul L. Everett, a well-known attorney from Suffolk and a member of the Holland Ruritan, spearheaded the initiative to create the electric utility that now supports over 9,500 households and businesses.
