It was Friday afternoon and our electricity went out. I was at work and my wife was home not feeling well. She called me at work and told me that the breaker switch would not reset the electricity to our upstairs bedroom and part of the house.
A friend recommended that I call electrician, Rich Combs. I called Rich, left a message and he called me back within ten minutes. Rich Combs told me that he would be in my area within the hour and said he would look at my fuse-breaker-box and call me back.
When he called me back, I was informed that one of the breaker switches was worn out. He said that he was able to move and change switches. He further told me that because it was a quick and easy repair that there would be no charge for his services.
Okay, that's amazing and extremely rare in this day and age. That tells me, Rich Combs is an honest and fair man, who if hired will do his best for you. In the event that I need to hire an electrician in the future, Rich Combs will be the one I call.

I first met Rich when he did a small electrical portion of a tankless water heater installation by Jerry of Flowright as a subcontractor. I was impressed and we asked him back to install four new light fixtures and also to add lighting to our garage. Rich is friendly and personable. He responded quickly to a phonemail estimate request, came on time, and gave a very fair estimate, which he fully explained. Once his estimate was accepted he scheduled the work quickly and, again, came on time. Rich works professionally and exceptionally efficiently and cleanly. It was a pleasure to do business with him. We will have him back to do any electrical work and recommend him very highly.

Rich was great! He has done two jobs for me, both better than I could have imagined. He does a good job for a fair price. Quick story: To install a ceiling fan on a hot day, he got through a tight space in the attic, and got out covered in sweat and insulation. While in there, he noticed that some duct work was not connected, and advised me that I had a 'square peg in a round hole' situation. I called my warranty people, they sent out a crew with the right pieces, but they could not climb back into the place Rich had been working. I called the warranty people again, and requested a small technician. They sent me a guy about 5'2'', but a little stout. He took a look, and said that he could not get in! I'm calling Rich back, even though he is not one of the contractors on my coverage.
