This is a long time coming. I needed a light fixture placed above my dining area. Unfortunately, the electric box was 5 feet off. I had multiple quotes saying I need to rip out the ceiling drywall or do an exposed wire to move the wire.

Colwell came in and did a free estimate. They checked the support beams and were able to move the wires and install a fan box without interrupting the drywall. It took less than an hour and very reasonably priced.

If you want something done right for a reasonable price, go with Colwell. Mike and his crew were exceptional. I would definitely use them again.

I contacted Colwell Electric for an estimate on repairing an electric pole that was taken down during a storm and adding electricity to a work shed. Mike and his crew displayed quality work, great value, and completed the project in the initial deadline. I will certainly use them again in the future. Thank you!

Less than impressed!! Called on Oct 31 Spoke to Residential Service manager Mike Dannerbaum, nice guy, assured me he'd have a guy out on Friday the 1st. On the 1st a technician showed up, looked at circuit box. told me he'd recommend a new panel box, though the house had just been inspected the previous month. He said 5 breakers definitely needed to be changed. He said these breakers would be approximately $85 a piece plus $180 for 1st hour and had asked him to replace a light as well and said that should take an additional hour and cost about 100-150. The technician said on the breaker box problem that lightning is probably the cause. He said he had to round up the parts, confirm the costs and call me back. We have yet to hear from him or anyone else from this company. In the meantime its not my job to follow up with them and beg for service, after 2 weeks I called another electrician that identified. a faulty ground wire that was tripping the breaker. All fixed at fraction of what I was to be charged.

We have been using Colwell for about 10 years in our high rise condominium property. They have installed an emergency back-up generator for us, along with other commercial work. Their crew is always pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient and clean-cut. They've come out for emergency calls in the middle of the night and their crew responded with the same professionalism as always.
