Steve and his partner came out yesterday within 30 minutes from my request for emergency service. The main line pulled my drop right off the main panel. Almost started a true catastrophe. Power shut down the entire block. This request started in the late afternoon and this team of professional, diligent and experienced gents got my house back to power before dinner. This will be the only Electrical professionals I will be returning for service. Thank you so much Coastline!!

I met Steve and Mike about a month ago. I saw some of their work they had done in their own homes. I've been wanting canned lighting for years and with this stay at home order the lighting in my living room has been challenging. I sent Steve some pictures of my ceiling and scheduled for him to come out the next week.
The crew came out and they just got started, pretty soon the cans in my living room had expanded to my hallway and entry way. My grandma liked them so well she had them added to her ""family room"" so she could see her knitting . I ended the day with Eleven canned lights and 3 ceiling fan switches and dimmers. And suddenly a wish list my bathroom fans both sounded like airplanes were taking off not that big off a deal. Steve suggested installing canned lighting on my front porch? Ok, ok guys what's my total?
After the crew left Mike, Cole and Randy my oldest daughter kept saying how nice they were. I know that may not sound like a big deal but from her it is. We have had work done over the years repiped whole house solar (2x's) painted house (2x's) new windows kitchen remodel and an 840 sq ft addition the first year we bought the house. I believe that traumatised her she was 3. Every time I have something done she asks why? She's not fond of change, for her to remark over and over is a very big deal!
The other shocking part was I didn't have buyers remorse they left after being here almost 11 hours straight. I was happy with my lighting, they were not cheap but they were reasonable and real people. They joked amongst themselves and with us. I have two teenage daughters and was a little concerned. I never heard anything inappropriate. Randy discussed his pet snake with my 15 year old and she showed him her Bearded Dragon . I would look up and see Cole pulling a light switch when they were figuring out how to get the next light in. They were also cleaning up after themselves as they left a bunch of men cleaning up that was nice in itself!
The next day I had them return and install new bathroom fans and the canned lighting on the porch. I came home last night and decided I needed new porch furniture for my birthday for the front of my house . So in case you can't tell I love my new lighting and will have them come back next month to install an attic fan and one more light in my shower . Who knew I needed one? I spent all of our stimulus $$$ on Coastline Lighting but it kept a local business working and I feel good about that too!!! Oh and last but not least they left my house and went to my moms and she has scheduled them back to add more too!

We had a circuit box outside short out. Steve's crew came out on time and within an hour rewired and replaced outdoor sockets and a breaker. Did an excellent job.

Mike and Derek from coastline electric did a great job. They were very responsive, showed up on time, and efficiently diagnosed and fixed our problems. Would use them again. Thanks

I am super impressed with the the professionalism & courtesy. Only minutes after opening this morning the owner of the company, Steve, took my call & proceeded to say he could fit in a stop to me before his actual scheduled work began, if that was all right w/me. It was so awesome.! I recommend Steve & Coastline to anyone & everyone.

We have been without an oven for a year and a half because ours blew out. We were told by viking and several electricians that it couldn't be fixed. Mother board, wiring etc. Cost us so much money for nothing. Today, two men and two trucks came and fixed the wiring. I guess when we did our kitchen remodel and the pushed oven back in they pinched a wired and didn't ground oven or something like that lol. These two men are honest electricians with no bullshit. They knew their stuff. I was going to buy a new oven today but wallah! Our Viking is back in business. $125.00!!!!!Hire these HB guys and save yourself a lot of time, headaches, and money. Thank you Coastline!

$740 to install 5 light dimmers. Took 4 hours to buy product and install. Charged hourly even during the time to go on a Home Depot run. I felt like it was very expensive. Also left the walls around the switches dirty. I offered to vacuum after.

Rather than give you my opinion of working with Coastline Electric, I'll just describe my experience and let you make up your own mind:
I found Coastline on Yelp and noticed the high rating so I reached out to them to get a bid on a ceiling light install. Steve called back a while later and said he could come over Monday morning, I agreed since I had that morning clear. I assumed morning meant somewhere between 8-10am, I should have been more specific, lesson learned. At 10:16am I got a text from Steve saying ""See ya around noonish?"". That was cutting it close since I had to leave the house by 1pm, but I figured a small job bid like this shouldn't take too long, so I agreed. At 12:42pm I texted him to see if he was still coming over and letting him know I had to leave at 1pm, I heard nothing back until until just before 2pm, he'd left a voicemail. I called him back, he didn't remember who I was so I had to remind him that I was the guy who's appointment he hadn't shown up that morning, that caused him to remember. I decided to give him another chance because I know, stuff happens. Steve came over, viewed the work to be done and gave me a written quote for the work. I accepted the quote and told him I was available to have him do the work on the following Friday. The next morning I got a text from him confirming that his guy, Jeff, would be at my house by ""noonish"" to do the work, I had to remind him that we agreed to start the work on Friday. He apologized and I asked him when Jeff would be over on Friday, he stated that Jeff would be there ""Between 8-10am"", I agreed. At 9:50am on Friday, remembering our past interactions, I texted Steve to confirm that Jeff would be to my house by 10am as promised. He replied by saying ""Here's Jeff's phone number to help coordinate"", I replied with ""Coordinate what, you were supposed to be here between 8-10am"". I never heard back from Steve.
Sometime later that day, I heard from Jeff, he apologized for the scheduling issues, said he had two small jobs to finish then would be at my house to install the light. Jeff showed-up as described, did a good job on the install (which is the reason for the two star rating instead of one star). While talking to Jeff, we decided to take an easier route for the wiring which required less time and fewer cuts into the drywall. It also eliminated the need to purchase a stacked light switch, so you would think the job would have been less than the bid Steve gave me...you would be wrong about that. When Jeff created my invoice the price he was asking to get paid was 25% more than the written bid that Steve had provided. I refused to pay anything more than the bid, especially when the job was easier and cheaper for them due to the change we had made. Jeff called Steve, Steve threw-out another price that was still higher than the quote. I wrote them a check for the original bid, which was still arguably to high and thanked Jeff for the work.
I do not have real high expectations of contractors, I just expect them (as I would with anyone I'm paying for a service) to be professional, do what they say they're going to do and do good work. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Had to call an emergency electrician because we had someone out to fix a light switch in our garage and he ended up not only NOT fixing the light switch but also filling up his backpack with oranges from the tree in our backyard and causing a power outage in our entire house (the same day as I finally got cable after 3 years, and was so excited to watch This is Us) and then left us high and dry (and without power).
This was considered an emergency (although our property manager disagreed) so we called Steve and he was amazing. He first tried to talk us through the problem over the phone to save us some money and not have to send someone out. When that didn't work he had one of his guys (Juan) at our door within the hour. It was a quick fix and Juan was knowledgeable and friendly, I would recommend Steve and Coastline to anyone that needs an electrician and will be storing his number in my phone for the next time this happens. Thanks Steve!!!!

I rarely leave reviews but these guys deserve one. I do a lot of my own construction so I know construction, even electrical more then most but this problem was way too big for me to tackle. It's my father in laws rental that I oversee and the electrical was in dire need of some major help. Steve sent one of his guys RIGHT OUT and we worked on it together until the late evening! Problem after problem arose so we had to carry it into another day but that's ok because they fixed EVERYTHING!!!! Steve wanted to get it done quick so our renters were happy so he sent in his main guy (I call him Big Juan) as this guy is a ""wall of a man"" with a heart of gold! We even shared some pics which is really unlike me!
Anyway...they did such an amazing job that I asked if they would be willing to replace the entire panel the following week which was just a couple days ago. I just went down, he didn't just replace the panel, he labeled everything for me, put in a spare and used top notch products. Did it so fast that both units had very limited down time.
I've had my fair share of bad contractors, over priced and unreliable guys but these guys are truly fantastic, really gives hope that there are still good people out there. We own 5 properties, I'd seriously buy airfare if you guys ever want to help me on the East Coast. Truly mean that as I need some serious help out there ASAP!
Thanks again guys, saved the day and our renters are happy as clams which is all we want :)
