Coast has done a couple of jobs for me and both times, they were excellent. I obviously do not know much about electrical issues, however, both times they came they clearly explained the issue while fixing it and made me feel informed about the service they were providing and what they were repairing. Ignacio is a good communicator and was able to schedule an appointment quickly, and Juan, who was my technician, was extremely fast, reliable, and friendly. Certainly would recommend for all your electric needs.

After requesting quotes from several companies, I decided to go with Coast Electric Company since they gave me the best price and don't ask for 50% deposit until the work starts. They replaced my electric panel and EV charger in 1 day, another day to patch up the stucco and final details. We are very pleased with their quality work. I'm happy to recommend this company.

Had a small job that included diagnose and repair of an outlet, installation of a new out and combining two lighting circuits with 3-way switching into one circuit with 4-way switch. Did it all on the spot and for a fair price. Works great. Best part, very minimal opening of drywall even though I gave him free reign to open as much as needed as I've become an expert at patching drywall over the years.

Ignacio is such a kind and caring individual who does amazing work!! As a first time homeowner, it can be scary hiring your own contractors and even worrisome if they will try to rip you off. I can say Ignacio and his team did not do that at all and even gave us a great deal! He takes his time to explain everything that he is doing and his pricing is extremely fair. Ignacio and team helped us upgrade our electrical panel and install an EV charger port. The team was nice and they wore mask when we were around, and took a day to do their work.

But we had to call Coast back out a few times because some of the workmanship was not done properly. Plus they didn't call the city for the inspection when they were supposed to, which pushed our project out by over 2 weeks! They claimed they called when we asked, but later admitted that they forgot to call and not telling us the correct times that the city was supposed to arrive. Luckily we had someone at home, otherwise we would have missed the inspector. And as any homeowners doing some reno would know, any delay means more skyrocketed cost.

Although the city signed off on the update, the city *still* has to come back for incomplete portion of the work.

For the amount Coast charge, I had expected them to be more professional, reliable and complete work. I don't think I'll be using them again for any of our electrical needs, nor will be recommending them.

They showed up on the first day for estimate. This is a family business. The dad let the son did the estimate. Proposed a sum of money for the project or hourly based one. The son didn't look like an experienced one. Wondered if he was ever licensed. The dad took off after that and let the son there to discuss the payment options. I opted to hourly based payment. The son took a estimate fees which should be deductible to the total charge of the project if the customer agreed to proceed. He said he would come back the next day to do the project. Never came back. They kept stating reasons like being busy, getting stuck in other projects etc. and said they would come another time when I called them. Worst experience ever. Never recommend this company to anyone. Very unprofessional.

We had a problem with the kitchen fluorescent lightbox. We found out one of the two ballast was not working and offer to look for a replacement ballast, which he found out that box is obsolete and suggested to replace with an LED box. A few days later, his son and another technician came to install the new LED box and the LED lights. It was amazing to be able to see and cook dinner. They left my kitchen the same as before they came in to work on the problem.

I think you will like these guys. They were friendly, thorough, and clean.
They went the extra mile to check the main electrical box for any defect before leaving.
