CMW are the best of the best. After disastrous experiences with so many contractors and subcontractors in Lubbock, where we have been over-billed and given terrible service, I started reading reviews and looking for companies who come highly recommended. That's how I found CMW several years ago. My mom had purchased a 1947 house that needed a ton of updating to bring it up to code and make it safe. I called and spoke with Chester (who I now have on speed dial), and he sent Rudy over to walk the property and give us an estimate. The first thing I love about CMW is there is no mystery to their pricing. They have an invoice sheet that lists almost every conceivable electrical job -- install a can light, change a fixture, add a circuit to your box, etc. Each task has a set price. No mystery. You know upfront what it will cost. The second thing I love about them -- and here I am specifically referring to Rudy, the master electrician who has become our partner in three houses now, including a new build that needed updates and fixes, and a total down-to-the-studs gut renovation -- is their expertise. Rudy knows his stuff. And he is a great teacher. Every time I ask a question about what he is doing or how things work, he takes the time to walk me through it in a way that makes sense and leaves me understanding my house in a way I never did before. He is patient, thorough, and INCREDIBLE at his job. When a rental property of ours kept burning through refrigerators, we assumed the fridges were faulty. Rudy suggested we check the circuitry, and, sure enough, there was a very dangerous and unusual issue that could have started a fire if left unaddressed. Three different times he has caught issues that were causing problems and could have been super dangerous which no one else had been able to figure out. And to top it off -- he is the nicest, most professional guy you could hope of finding. CMW is all class. This past year, when we did the total renovation, we worked with them for over a year, rewiring, installing fixtures, moving outlets, adding exterior cameras and security systems, you name it, we've done it. And now two of our neighbors have used them for even more extensive work -- one of them stripped all the electric wiring out of their house and started over at the electric pole, burying the wires and rewiring the entire house from scratch. And they are delighted. They may not be the least expensive guys around, but -- you get what you pay for. And with electrical and plumbing work, I want the best so that there won't be any expensive mistakes down the line. Chester and Rudy and the entire team at CMW are the best, hands down. -- THANK YOU GUYS -- for EVERYTHING!!!

Seeing that quality work is hard to come across .. this was one of the most professional services I've experienced since living in Lubbock. I had two oversized chandeliers - one was 250 lbs and the other was to be hung over stairs in a mirrored closet. . Covered and protected the floors and set up scaffolding ... crawled thru the attic to secure it.. cleaned up. Respectable and detailed ... highly recommend.

I found CMW to be mediocre. The service technician and his helper took a very long time to give me the pricing, they weren't able to do all the things I asked for (said another electrician handled big projects - I'm not sure the man at my home was properly licensed), and kept telling me I would have to save up some money before doing the next things. The did the small projects I asked for, but in a chintzy handyman kind of way. For example, I asked for old security devices to be removed, they did it, but just stuffed the wires into the wall instead of removing them from the source. They also left a mess after installing lights. You can get that kind of service from anybody, so I found CMW to be annoyingly average.

Amazing people! Called on a Monday to have a switch to our under cabinet lighting looked at. Scheduled an appointment. They had some cancellations, so they called me later to move our appointment up. They were on time, professional, friendly and educated us on exactly what the problem was and how they were fixing it. I am adding this business to The Hungry Mom collection which lists all of Lubbock's ""bests."" Total cost of call was $163.75 and they were here an hour and 20 minutes.

Based on Yelp reviews, I called CMW and the person that answered the phone was very knowledgeable and understood what I wanted right away. I was able to schedule a time for an estimate.

I wanted under the cabinet lights and didn't know what to get. I told the guy what I was looking for and he made a couple of recommendations. I settled on what I thought would be good for what I wanted and he said the lights would be on the truck for me to look at during my scheduled estimate.

Rudy and Eddie take being Pro to a new level. What would have taken my husband and I 3 days to do, these guys came in and did in a matter of hours. They communicated the options up front and gave me an estimated completion time - which was very close to the actual time that it took.

I am super pleased with the result and would highly recommend this company to anyone. In fact, our close friends are calling them for an estimate today!

I highly recommend this company.
We purchased an older home that required immediate services. The breaker box had to be replaced and was not up to code. I feel all the repairs were necessary and the technicians were very competent. Additional services were installing new lights and gfi switches. The team worked for 10!hours straight to get us back to the safe zone again. Thanks for your dedication!

We called all around Lubbock to get quotes for my mom's house and everyone charges a minimum $100 per hour rate. CMW gave us a low and fair flat rate fee for coming out and then did their work without charging a fortune. Rudy was very professional and above all every time we spoke he kept mentioning ""safety"" which meant a lot to me because my primary goal was to get my moms house cooled during the Texas triple digit heat. Needless to say Rudy found several issues from the previous electrician's work(that would have lead to a huge use fire eventually)and he was able to rectify in a timely and cost effective manner. I can't say enough good things about CMW. Don't waist your time with other companies that are going to ask for your first born and do a fraction of the work in exchange. Choose CMW Electric I promise you will NOT be disappointed!
