I had a breaker issue, I was worried it was more than one. Richard came out immediately, did not try and sell me anything. He told me what I needed. I likes him so much I paid him to do something my husband could have done. His customer service was awesome!

My wife and I attempted to contact this company because they advertised as 24 hours. The first night we called him he said he had no openings the next morning; I work swing shifts so it has to be in the morning. I said I'd call back again to schedule another appointment the following day. I called the company again and the same man answered the phone. He sounded as though he was sleeping and when I told him I was the person that called yesterday and I wanted to schedule an appointment he said, ""No I don't think think ya know what ya want."" He gave me grief about calling him late even though he advertises as a 24 hour business. Then when I tried to explain I work swing shifts he cut me off and said, ""find someone else to do it."" Then promptly hung up on me.

The lack of professional integrity displayed here is why I am posting this review, and why I will recommend against this company at every opportunity given.

I just learned about Yelp, or I would have written this review when it happened. My lights were going on and off at my house, and I called Clovis Electric on the advice of a friend. The owner of Clovis Electric came out, and tested all the outlets with his meter. He said it was the strangest thing he'd ever seen, that an outlet would have one reading one minute, and another the next. He was at my house for the better part of 3 hours, just testing outlets and telling me he was the best electrician in town. I told him I was sure glad of that, as it looked like that's what it would take. In the end, he charged me $400, and even though I was reluctant to pay him, he said he put in the work and I owed him. So, I paid. Then I called PG&E as a last resort (should have been my 1st call) and they fixed the problem for free. It was tree branches interfering with the power lines. Mr Best Electrician In Town should have known that. I really got taken. Never again.

I was referred to Clovis Electric through a friend. I wanted a 240v charger installed for my electric car. I was told Richard the owner, did a good job on a 240v charger for my friend so I called. A man answered (couldn't make out what he said....clovis electric, or something like that).

""Oh hi sir, I have a 240 volt charger that I'm trying to have wired at my house, is that something you'd be able to do?""

""Nope, I don't do that""

""Oh, okay well do would you happen to know someone who.....""

*click - he hung up

Wow! One phone call and Richard was out within just over 1.5 hours. Fixed the main breaker to the house and determined that it the air conditioner that is tripping the breaker. Power was back on in less than 15 minutes. The cost was more than reasonable. I was quite over the phone by other companies double +. This is one company that I will definitely use again. Passing the word on great service!

He actually answers the phone on a holiday week-end and was at my home in 20 minutes. He solved the problem quickly, which is important on a 105 degree day. Thanks a ton.

Very reliable... I am giving him a 5 because he seems honest and picks up his phone every time I call. He has done work for me on my apartments in Clovis and recently he went to one of my properties in Sanger. He showed up and the handyman had already completed the job which was not his fault... He still charged me 90.00 which was a little disappointing. I guess I would have hoped he might have cut it in half or something because he didn't do anything but drive to the house.

I still will use him again and would recommend him.
