These guys did a great job, were on time and completely professional. I had a concern about one of the charges and they did a great job of making sure I was happy and were easy to deal with. Jerry was very good about getting back to me and I'm sure I'll be calling CLD again if something goes wrong.

I had 4 old light fixtures which needed to be replaced with new ones. I swapped out on my own but was unsuccessful to get them to work.

I called CLD Electric to troubleshoot the issue. I was informed there in a $90 per 30 minute troubleshooting charge plus $75 trip charge= $165 with a $240 minimum job billing. I was told if I consented to the work, the trip charge would be waived. The electrician removed the first light fixture and identified the problem as being a wiring issue. He accomplished this in 15 minutes. I explained to him that the wiring for the rest of the light fixtures were done the same way. He asked if I wanted him to repair - which meant rewire the light fixture and place onto the wall. I responded, 'yes.'

Upon completion, the electrician presented a bill for $420!!! The company overcharged me and explained to me that the continued to charge me $90 per 30 min to troubleshoot the other light fixtures!!

After contacting the owner, he agreed to reduce my bill by $90. This was truly appreciated.

So for anyone looking to use CLD Electric, please note you will be charged $240 minimum per job regardless of time and effort.

Contacted CLD Electric to do a simple install of a NEMA 14-50 outlet. Their tech came out, said it was an easy install and that the charge would be $650! I explained that I had recently (1 month prior) had another service provider install the same outlet at a different location for significantly less. Their response was, well that's the charge. I declined and went with another provider who came out the same day and installed the outlet for less than half of what CLD quoted. Total work time was 40 minutes. Lesson: Get multiple quotes and skip CLD Electric.

Had Ralph come out from CLD Electric to install some outlets in my closet, awesome guy very friendly and did a great job making nice clean cuts into the dry wall, and of course outlets work perfect!

Had an electrician come out to my RV to help install the wiring for my two AC units. The guy was punctual and friendly but he was asking way too many personal questions about my parents marriage, wife, guns, things of that nature. Questions that I believe should not be asked by someone whom I don't personally know.

My AC system has been making a surging should every couple minutes since the install. He mentioned needing to put in a transformer that is just a cheap Chinese part that usually cost $20 and they don't last too long. Sounds like the surge is going to there.

I had called them out to give me an estimate on the install. He came out there, and immediately started working. 2 hours later, the install was done (not correctly) and I was charged $550 ""with all the discounts he could give me"". But I was never told an actual estimate. So how can I know I was just being lied to? Because $550 is an absurd amount for 2 hours of work and a cheap $20 part that won't last long.

Scotty was incredibly kind, responsive, professional and was able to get the job done with quality. I had gotten a quote from another company here in San Diego but they could not compare to customer service CLD had provided. I would most definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone!

I recently completely flipped my home, and needed an electrician to do the recessed lighting. I called CLD and they sent out Blake to do the work. Blake did a great job. Out of all the contractors I had, he was the only contractor to put in the extra hours to get the project done on time! When you say a job takes X amount of days to finish, I expect you to follow through and CLD did just that.
