Joshua C.Mike and his crew installed a secondary unit to make things more efficient in my house. Install was done quick and professional. Recently the fan motor went out and they were out first thing the next day. Part was under warranty and they were able to get it fixed with a reasonable amount of time at no additional cost to me. I highly recommend these guys and will use them again should the need arise!
This review is for Citywide's consultation and installation of 3t and 5t HVACs in my Austin house.
I worked with Mike the whole time who was patient with my questions, several changes in manufacturers, and curveballs like my mis-measuremant in the dark of the attic stairs, and the house lacking the space required to haul up some HVACs.
Mike responded quickly to my calls and texts. He was experienced and respectful, letting me make the decision even with his obviously vast experience. He explained the different aspects of the HVACs like the SEER rating and variable speed. We settled on Carrier which was installed in my house previously.
The installation day came around and Mike's team worked nonstop, finishing with everything in about 4 hours. The team was friendly and courteous. The installed HVACs looked so much like the previous HVACs, bolted down, secured, and hooked up to the ventilation in almost the exact same way as before. I am not an expert, but could tell the workmanship was quality, including fitting and sealing the HVACs to the ventilation.
Mike also walked me through the installed pieces and explained how water and air flowed through the systems, how to maintain them and what red flags to look out for.
It has been several weeks now and the HVACs are working perfectly.
In hindsight, choosing the Carrier 15 Seer 5T which fit up the attic stairs instead of ripping the stairs to fit a 16 Seer, or going with another brand, was the best decision I made, and Mike definitely helped me stick to that decision.
Also, after doing a pretty thorough analysis on the price Mike quoted me, it seemed to be a competitive quote, especially compared to the Costco Lennox quote I got. It seemed like Mike got better deals with other manufacturers than Carrier, but I did not let that decide for me. Carrier may have been more expensive than other brands, but I sleep better at night knowing the installation was consistent to the previous spec.
I'd say Citywide was close to perfection.
City Wide Services are fantastic on service. Super quick turnaround on installation. Fair pricing. And very attentive to making sure that everything was done right. Had one issue two weeks after install and they were here within a few hours to fix it. In a sea of mediocrity these guys stand out.
Ron U.Mike is maintaining my AC system and keeping the 20 year old system running like a top. When it's time for replacement he'll be the one to install the new Puron system we now need.
Kerry G.Excellent service! We called Citywide about our HVAC unit and they were able to come out the same day to take a look. They had to order a part for us but it only took a business day and they were back.
Jake was awesome and extremely friendly. He had our unit repaired in less than an hour! Give these guys a call if you need any type of HVAC servicing or repairs!
William P.I feel compelled to give a great review for Chris. We had a major problem with our plumbing. We were dealing with backed up pipes. Having a baby in the house it can be a major issue with how toxic it gets. He went above and beyond. Came in 2 days on a holiday weekend and helped us clean the mess. This is the man you want working for you! Thank you Chris! You rock!
Lauren B.About two months ago I called them to come and check our air conditioner intakes, which we felt weren't working properly due to improper installation by the previous owner. When I realized they also did electrical servicing, I called back and asked that they send someone who could help me with that as well. We just moved in and we have some plugs and switches that we couldn't get to work. When I called to schedule the work, I was quoted $89. Two men arrived at my property within the quoted window, which was great. The technician inspecting the electrical outlets spent the majority of the time verifying his work with the technician working on the AC. This is an important detail.
Our house has two separate AC units. After cursory inspection of one unit, the AC technician declared both were function properly. However that is not the case. The second AC unit that was never inspected, continues to run all day long, never reaching the very reasonable 76 degrees I set my house at. We will now have to call someone else out to look at it again. The electrical technician seemed to do everything halfway. He told me I needed a new light fixture outside and that they couldn't tell me why the outlets weren't working. My boyfriend was offshore working when all of this happened. When he came home he went up in the attic and found that the fixture they told me just needed to be replaced wasn't even connected to a power source. Then he took the switch plate off the one of the switches and found that switch was not connected to power. The only thing I got of value from the service visit, was that the AC technician disconnected our irrigation system from the AC unit. For some reason the previous owner had them connected, but the irrigation no longer worked. The other thing that bothered me was that he put a giant City Wide Services sticker on my breaker box and a huge magnet on my fridge. He never even asked me if that was okay. I just started finding them after he left. I also had to call them back because one of the switch panels they had looked at wasn't working. They sent someone else out and turns out they forgot to turn the breaker back on. Getting back to them sending two technicians, instead of the $89 they quoted me on the phone, it cost me $195. I believe this was because two technicians came out. I felt like it was a huge waste of money and I would not recommend the company.
Tyson S.Just finished having Mike fix out AC unit. He was fast, friendly, and super helpful. Would recommend and will be using again for any plumbing or electrical needs.
Great experience! Cody was able to come out and service our AC unit less than 24 hours after I made the request over the weekend (!!). He was able to solve our problem quickly and even gave us a heads up on things to plan for in the future. I will definitely use their services again!!
Very fair, professional, and thorough. Mike explains everything in an easy to understand manner. Thanks for the Freon and I'll be calling you for our new HVAC system down the road.
