I had Citywide Electric install recess lights throughout my home and they did a fabulous job. I'm about to call them again for some additional work. Also, they are very kind and clean up after their work.

Quote was reasonable. They installed three ceiling fans and ten flush mount lights and a chandelier. They came right on time and did a great job. Chandelier cord was coming out a month later and they came a day after I called and repaired at no cost. Very courteous and professional!!!

City Wide is great. I called for an electrical problem for my outdoor patio fans. I was told from another source it needed to be re-wired. After John assessed the problem, the remote needed to be synced with the fan. Took him less than 10 minutes, with no charge! Will continue to use them.

My ceiling fan/light stopped working and City Wide Electric was responsive, gave me a reasonable quote, and came out as scheduled to take a look. John suggested I have another fan on hand to install in case they could not repair, so I bought one over the weekend and had it ready. Turns out the fan was fine and the remote just needed to be reset - they fixed it and shame on me for not thinking of that.

Now for the problem - I asked them to install the new fixture they suggested I buy and John said that would be a completely new charge on top of the repair he just did. What?? His reasoning is that he would only credit the house-call towards the new install if the repair could not be completed. I did not exactly consider the remote reset that took two minutes a 'repair' and he was already at my house, but I was not in the mood to continue arguing.

Let's be clear - City Wide Electric did not do anything wrong but was not exactly accommodating either. I suppose business is business - and I will be taking my business elsewhere. Keep looking if customer service and a human touch is important to you. They may or may not do great work, I'll never know, but I got the impression that this company is just a bit greedy.

My dryer died, and the pro I called said the socket was bad and that he was not qualified to do electrical.
I was called by John K from City Wide Electric thru Home Advisor. We set up an appointment and he quoted me a fair price.
I called to cancel because it was raining, but John K. said not a problem. After calling to say he'd be at my location in 15 min,
he got right to work and found and fixed the problem within an hour.
He also gave me a lot of very useful info regarding things electrical that should be fixed at my old house. He's very knowledgeable, professional, polite and knows his business. If there was more space I'd give ten stars. I am one happy customer. Thank you City Wide Electric and John K.

window of time. They kindly fixed my problem that was so minor that they refused payment.

I contacted Home Advisor on 10/9/2019 looking for an electrician for a small project. They put me in contact with Citywide Electric. I called Citywide on 10/10 and spoke to an office person who gave me a 10/30/2019 date for them to come do the project with an arrival window of between 11-1:00. I have their number on my phone that I called their office on that date. On 10/29/2019, one day before they were to do the project, I got an email from Home Advisor saying they had been unable to connect with Citywide regarding the project so they didn't think anyone would show up on 10/30. I called Citywide and spoke to John there who said they didn't know who I was and were not aware of the project. I told John I had waited for three weeks and had not heard from Citywide. I expected them to show up on 10/30. John said they could come on Friday, November 1st and do the project but that they would charge me $600 which was a ridiculous price for a small project he knew nothing about. I told him to forget it, The next day 10/30 after talking to John I contacted a different electrician who came out yesterday 11/02 to look at the project and said he would do it next weekend 11/09, and for $275. I would never do business with Citywide or Home Advisor again!

John from City Wide Electric came by to fix our hard wired smoke alarms. It took only a few minutes to inspect them and another 5 to get them wired up correctly (apparently the builder or contractor mixed up the wires). I would definitely call this company again for electrical issues.
