History of City Electric
City Electric was founded in Stephenville, Texas in the year 1949 by E.L. Stephens. Mr. Stephens shaped the company into a highly regarded service provider, quickly earning a reputation for reliability. For 33 years, Mr. Stephens led the successful business after launching the business. After many years, Mr. Stephens decided to step back to someone who could uphold the same standards he had built. David Bragg was that individual.

In 1982, Mr. Stephens asked Mr. Bragg to take over the business. Certainly, David saw this as an incredible chance to lead a well-established business and seized the opportunity.

By 1986, David saw that the growing company needed to diversify its services, so he incorporated the electrical business under the name “Stephenville Electric, Inc.”.

I relocated to Stephenville to study at Tarleton State University, settled down, raised a family, and called it home. I proudly call this town home, and owning my own business brings me joy. Owning this business has given me opportunities to grow and develop not only my business but also a network of friends. We started with electrical work and added Watson Insulation under our leadership. I anticipate more growth this year with the launch of Solar Power.
