City Electric's Journey
City Electric was founded in Stephenville, Texas in 1949 by Mr. Stephens. He transformed the company into a renowned electrical contractor, quickly earning a reputation for trustworthiness. For 33 years, Mr. Stephens operated the successful enterprise after launching the business. Eventually, Mr. Stephens opted to sell the business to someone who could uphold the same standards he had built. Mr. Bragg was that individual.

During 1982, Mr. Stephens approached Mr. Bragg to purchase the company. Naturally, David saw this as a golden opportunity to lead a well-established business and seized the opportunity.

During 1986, David recognized that the thriving company needed to broaden its horizons, so he formed the company under the name “Stephenville City Electric”.

I moved to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University, married, started a family, and made it my home. I consider this town my home, and I enjoy being a business owner. It has provided me with opportunities to build and enhance not only my business but also a network of friends. Our journey began with electrical services and expanded into Watson Insulation under our leadership. I am excited about future expansion this year with the launch of Solar Power.
