City Electric's Journey
City Electric began in Stephenville, TX in the year 1949 by Mr. E.L. Stephens. Mr. Stephens shaped the company into a renowned provider of electrical services, quickly earning a reputation for dependability. For 33 years, Mr. Stephens managed the thriving company after starting the company. In time, Mr. Stephens decided to step back to someone who could uphold the same standards he had built. David Bragg was that individual.

In the year 1982, Mr. Stephens asked Mr. Bragg to take over the business. Of course, David saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take charge of a respected company and embraced the offer.

During 1986, David recognized that the thriving company needed to broaden its horizons, so he incorporated the electrical business under the name “Stephenville City Electric”.

I relocated to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University, got married, had children, and decided to stay. I proudly call this town home, and owning my own business brings me joy. It has provided me with opportunities to expand and thrive not only my business but also a network of friends. Our journey began with electrical services and grew to include Watson Insulation under our leadership. I am excited about future expansion this year with the launch of Solar Power.
