Directed to us by American Home Shield. Electrician arrived in a car without any equipment. Unable to replace a 30A breaker because he didn't have any breaker. Claimed the breaker was underpowered. Denied claim, charged fee, and quoted $800 to replace wire.

Directed to us by America Home Shield. Power outage in hallway outlets and lights. Determined it was a broken wire. After telling my wife that the circuit might be overloaded because it was connected to the washer/dryer but that he would not report it that way, he did exactly that. Result: $100 cost of visit and denial of benefits from AHS and $1800 estimate to redo circuit. Stated not up to code. It's worked perfectly for 30 years that we know of....house was built in the 1930s. Hollywood Hills home....we have had to deal with rats from time to time and suspect this is what caused the problem. We will NOT be using CITY ELECTRIC...we will pursue a second opinion and repair. NOT a sincere company.

Vic looked at our new oven specs on my laptop to make sure it would fit. Both my husband and I looked at them with him. He said no problem. He gave us a contract to remove old oven and install new oven. He arrived and said the new oven would only fit if cabinetry work was done. He instantly accused of us trying to cheat him, ""Did you just expect me to do the cabinetry work?"" We expected an installed oven. That is all. We are not the experts. When it is in our contract to have ""Oven Installed"" we expect you to know how to do that. He continued to call us cheaters and liars. When we asked if he could just do the electrical work (meaning, no cabinetry and not installing the oven), but he wouldn't take anything off of the price. He ended up having a heated, unprofessional argument with my husband and left our old oven on our deck for my husband and I to lift and dispose of. I rarely write a bad review. I am not a complainer. I would beware.

Vic is GREAT!!! I needed 220 voltage run to my garage. After waiting around for a month for a different electrician recommended by a friend, I decided to turn to Yelp to find someone else. I called Vic on a Saturday morning. He came over that afternoon for a quote. We set up a time that next Tuesday for him to do the work. He arrived promptly at the time he said he would...finished by the time he said he would...at the price he said he would. He was extremely courteous and professional. He even was more than happy to help me when I had questions for him a few months later. I can't recommend him highly enough!!
