Recommended Customer Reviews

This is an unethical company with really poor customer service. I highly recommend staying away from average billing! For several years, my average deferred balance was somewhere around $250, give or take. Suddenly, last December, with no change in usage, it jumped to $1,399 and to this day no one can explain it. It's August and I'm still fighting this. (I left Cirro in June) As I write this, I've been on the phone for an hour and 10 minutes, much of which has been hold time while they try to figure it out...to no avail.

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I moved into a new lease and my power was shut off by my landlord. I called to set up new service within 10 minutes . They required me to send my lease and had a mandatory 48 hour review period before turning my power back on. After explaining to supervisors that we had a newborn and this wasn't an option. Supervisors then put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. I was forced to scramble, call another energy company to turn on power and cancel with Cirro. I would give zero stars if it was an option.

Stay away trust me not worth it customer service and online portal have issues for payment. They will try to intimidate you with the contract termination fee. I have taken further legal step to resolve my case. Be worn

Too Bad Cirro Energy doesn't offer any credit for putting a new energy efficient A/C in our home like Garland Power and Light does...

Had them for years, tried to set up auto pay for TWO MONTHS, several calls and holding, super bad customer service and finally when auto pay was not going to work apparently for them we switched companies. Bottom line Don't use them, there are better companies out here

Two stars so the algorithms won't kick this out of the system- yes I'm about a week late on a bill. A disconnect notice would have been nice. Cirro has all my contact info, so snail mail, email, or phone are all options.
I'm sure the reconnect fees are a revenue source, but so is customer retention.

Pretty much bare minimum type of company.
I called to renew my electricity plan but had a couple questions about ""average billing"".
The situation was that I had one super high payment month due to leaving the house heater on while keeping the backyard sliding door open while on vacation - and honest mistake that I am willing to pay for. The rest of my months were relatively low.
With a z-value=2.67, the month in question is a significant outlier at the standard .05 significance level. (If you want to see the data set, just let me know.)
I called to see if my outlier month could be anyway adjusted in the calculations for average billing to lower my monthly payments. Apparently not -well I guess thats the point of average billing.
Since there was nothing that could be done to adjust the outlier month I was going to switch electric companies to look for something cheaper. The customer service didn't even try to convince me to stay.
Sure, Cirro isn't the cheapest but I'm willing to pay a little extra for consistency from year to year.
3 stars because they did the bare minimum and never had my power go out. Monthly bill payments online was pretty straight forward.

Ive had a terrible experience with Cirro. Their billing practices are deceitful and their customer service is the worst I've encountered in a really long time. I would not recommend Cirro to anyone.

If there was a way to give 0 stars I would. First of all they don't know how to bill properly. I've called almost every month I've had them to let them know I haven't received a bill and only have received a disconnection notice. Every single time they say they've set me up for auto pay and that I will be getting an email and print bill and every month it's the same story. They've shut my power off three times when I've paid my bill and have to go through oncor to try and get the power back on. This time has been over 12 hours without power now because of their screw up with no end in sight WITH A PAID BILL. Oh yeah don't be late paying your bill by even one day or you are disconnected. Worst customer service on the phone as well, they do nothing. Save yourself the headache and don't even try them out. I'm cancelling my service.

I am a business owner with nearly 100 vendors and Cirro Energy may be the worst in 20+ years of doing business. They have no idea how to bill a client with multiple locations. They also had my power disconnected because of their billing issues. I have left them and have moved to another provider. Should have done it long ago. Put up with poor service with their reps and their billing dept. Bill Beavers and Neil Turner should be running a lemonade stand instead of an electrical provider. They have no clue.
