Excellent service. Able to come to the house much sooner than I had anticipated. Service rep was exactly on time. Very polite and professional and took care of the issue quickly. We are VERY pleased and highly satisfied with the service and professionalism of Chico Electric. Price was also less than anticipated. Will definitely recommend to others without reservation.

Hired them to come out and put in motion sensor under cabinet lights. They installed them and they've never worked properly! Called them twice, the electrician came back out to look at it and said, ""sorry, there's nothing I can do."" Then their office staff said ""He's our best electrician. There's nothing we can do"" They told me I could buy a different fixture and have it installed(at my expense). They still kept sending their bill without making it right and fixing it. Then sent it to collections! Really disappointing customer service, seems like they couldn't care less!

When our smoke alarm suddenly went off for no apparent reason, Chico Electric immediately sent someone out to replace it. He spent time explaining to us how the hard-wired system results in all alarms go off. We then, since our alarms were all ten-years-old, asked for all to be replaced. Again this was done immediately. The electrician explained the value of different systems and how they function. My wife and I recommend this company highly.

Called them to add a ground to an un-grounded outlet. After about a month, they sent some guy over (but apparently not to do the work). He looked in the breaker panel. I had to talk him into looking inside the outlet box to see if there was a ground wire already in there (since some older houses had the box grounded instead of the outlet itself). Sure enough, no ground. He advised me we needed to have a ground installed. Duh!! That was the whole purpose of having him come out - we already told this company that. So, they charged us $56 to have this guy confirm what we already told them, and they still did not install the ground. He said it would cost take 4 hours (cost $400) to add a ground wire and that the company would call to schedule. After a month, no call. Time to move on to a reputable company.

1 1/2 years ago I called Chico Electric to perform several electrical repairs. This morning the electrical plug they replaced stopped working. Obviously the plug is faulty because plugs should last an average of 20 years.
I called Chico Electric to ask if they warranty their products, and they said they warranty for only one year, which is ridiculous.
I will never use Chico Electric again.

While the electrical work may be appropriate, we had a very hard time scheduling work to be done that was contracted to be done, getting calls back and getting a proper invoice. On a $5,000 invoice, $2,500 non-itemized supplies. Upon several requests no itemization was provided. Again, the technical work once they show up is fine, project management and accounting is unacceptable. Oh, yeah, and they forgot to bill and remind of payment due but instead transferred it to collections. Unacceptable!

Only initially called them because I was referred to them by a different company. They came out, did their thing, charged us the fees, and it was fine the first few times for the easy fixes throughout the years. Recently had bigger issues, but the company had an interesting way of being indirect with not wanting to service the issue. I'd much rather someone tell me they don't want to help me rather than make me jump through hoops by scheduling appointments, waiting for a nonexistent electrician to show up to fix the issue, and then having the following appointments canceled by using any excuse in their handbook to do so. Sadly, I didn't catch the hint til much later.

1 star for the electricians who seemed to know what they were doing and were polite on the job. The not-so-lovely lady who was behind the calls could make this experience better by being more direct and not wasting my time.

Many ""experts"" had told me I can't have a ceiling light in my mobile home bathroom. I asked Chico Electric and they said it's totally doable. Today it was completed and the price was surprisingly affordable! I certainly do recommend them!

Talk about a company that nickel and dimes you! Each visit will be no less than $100. We had several electrical outlets and switches replaced and they charged $100 each for them. One switch went out and they charged us an additional $175 to come out and replace. The fact that I've given them almost $4,000 of business I guess that means nothing. I was going to swap out our light fixtures and install can lighting with them (which I could not get an exact quote for) but after all this I will look elsewhere.

I had part of my kitchen go out and they sent out an electrician who solved the problem quickly and then helped me out with two other issues. My fridGe lost power a couple weeks later during the weekend and when I called they were helpful in suggesting A quick fix to get me to Monday so I wouldn't have to pay the high emergency hours. I really appreciated that they weren't just trying to make the higher wages and instead offered free advice. Efficient, helpful and trustworthy. They have earned my trust and are now my official go to if I have issues in the future.
